(Travel) Goseong's local specialty restaurant, traditional Omi-naengmyeon enjoyed together by three generations

I finally got to visit Omi Naengmyeon in Goseong, which I'd always wanted to try! I was worried the wait would be long since it's so popular, but I made a reservation through Catch Table and was able to get seated almost right away, without much waiting. I'd recommend checking the waitlist status on the Catch Table app and reserving in advance, rather than just showing up on the spot.

From the very first bite, I could tell why this place was famous. The broth was deep and rich yet clean-tasting, and the noodles were chewy but tender—one bite in, and I just wanted to keep eating! The bibim naengmyeon also had seasoning that wasn't too sharp, with just the right amount of savory depth.

I'm the only lightweight drinker in our group, so everyone else had a bowl of makgeolli each~~^^ The carbonation wasn't too much and it went down smoothly~~

There's no separate menu item for water naengmyeon vs bibim naengmyeon~~ hehe The pollock hoe was also delicious~~ The boiled pork (suyuk) served alongside was tender, with no gamey smell and just the right seasoning, so it went perfectly with the naengmyeon. It was as satisfying a meal as I'd hoped for, and if I ever have reason to go to Goseong, I think I'll stop by again!
