๐ฆ๐บ(Trip 5) The Start of Melbourne's Downtown Sightseeing, Federation Square
Federation Square

The starting point for touring downtown Melbourne Federation Square, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Australia's federation, is Melbourne's iconic meeting place. With over 2,000 events held here every year, and thanks to its spacious grounds that can hold more than ten thousand people, it's always said to be full of lively energy. The Australian Open tennis tournament is also held in Melbourne... You can watch the matches outdoors here at Federation Square too~~ There seem to be a lot of people coming to Melbourne for tennis tourism as well... If it's hard to get tickets, watching here seems like a good option too~~ It seems like it would be as fun as street cheering for soccer~^^

That day was a Saturday weekend, and while there weren't any special events going on, the locals were enjoying themselves at the nearby restaurants and pubs~ It's a place you can enjoy together with other nearby tourist spots, so there were a lot of tourists as well. For my first course in Melbourne, I decided to visit it this way, bundling it together with the surrounding attractions.
