๐ป๐ณโ๏ธ 8-bang Review #48. Roadside Fruit Shop Next to Monarch
After returning from the 8-night trip... 2025.2.9~2.16 We ate until we were nice and full, then drove the rental car back to the hotel, ending our rental car schedule for the day. Instead of heading straight up to the room, we decided to take a little walk around the area, so we walked for a bit. Coming out of the Monarch, there are a few hotels to the left. If you keep going, there's a big seafood restaurant, and right in front of it, on the street, there's a fruit stand run by a young couple. They had all kinds of fruit and it looked fresh.

As it happened, my husband was trimming a customer's durian, and while I was watching, my friend showed interest in it.

I'm not a fan of durian so I can't eat it, but my husband loves it โ whenever we come to Danang, he always eats it so happily. I told my friend exactly what my husband said, that a perfectly ripe durian smells less and tastes softer and more delicious than a banana, and my friend decided to give it a try. Right next to it there were some big, nice-looking mangosteens, so I asked for mangosteens instead, and the seller picked good ones and prepared them for me โ the flesh inside is big and so fresh.

The prices were also cheaper than at a regular fruit shop. I picked up the packaged fruit and headed back to the hotel.
