🇻🇳✍️ 8-country trip review #48. A roadside fruit stall next to the Monarch

After visiting the 8th room... 2025.2.9~2.16 We ate our fill and felt satisfied, then took the rental car back to the hotel, and that's when we ended our rental car schedule for the day. Instead of going straight up to the room, we decided to take a little walk around the area and walked for a bit. Coming out of the Monarch, there are a few hotels to the left, and if you keep going, there's a big seafood restaurant, and in front of it on the street there's a fruit stand run by a young couple. They had all kinds of fruit, and it all looked fresh.

My husband happened to be preparing durian for a guest, so I was watching, and my friend showed interest in it.

I don't like durian because it smells too strong for me, but my husband loves it and always eats it happily whenever we come to Danang. When I passed on exactly what he said—that a fully ripe durian smells less and tastes softer and better than a banana—my friend decided to give it a try. Right next to it there were some mangosteens that looked big and nice, so I asked for mangosteens instead, and the seller picked and prepared them so well; the flesh was big and so fresh.

The prices were also cheaper than at a regular fruit shop. I brought the packed fruit back to the hotel.
