Sydney Independent Travel Day 4 | Blue Mountains One-day Trip: Scenic World Railway, Cable Car & Three Sisters Peak Full Guide

For this independent trip to Australia, we arranged many day tours, and the "Blue Mountains Day Tour" was one of the itineraries we had been looking forward to for a long and long time. We booked a Chinese-speaking guided tour through KKday, which covered the main attractions of Blue Mountains National Park, including Scenic World (Skyway, Scenic Railway, and Scenic Cableway), the Three Sisters, Echo Point, and the charming Leura village. However, the overall experience was not quite satisfactory, as the guide's itinerary was too conservative, preventing us from exploring freely. Nevertheless, thanks to our flexible adjustments, we were still able to fully experience the magnificent beauty of the Blue Mountains!

🚐 Boarding at 9:00 sharp, the Blue Mountains day tour officially begins!

Scenic World 三大體驗：鐵路、纜車、空中纜車 經過約 2 小時 車程，我們來到藍山最受歡迎的觀景區——Scenic World，這裡提供三種不同方式俯瞰藍山：

🚆 Railway（世界最陡斜坡鐵路） 首先，我們搭乘 Railway 斜坡鐵路下山，這是世界上最陡的鐵路，最大傾斜角高達 52 度，列車進入山洞後突然俯衝而下，頗具刺激感！ 抵達山谷底部後，導遊帶領我們步行一小段，途中能看到早期的採礦遺跡，可惜行程安排較緊湊，只能匆匆拍幾張照片。

🚡 Cableway (Scenic Cable Car) After finishing the hike, we took the Cableway back to the summit. At this moment, the Three Sisters Peaks, which had been obscured by clouds and mist this morning, gradually emerged, and the view became much clearer.

🌉 Skyway（空中纜車） 最後，我們搭乘 Skyway 橫跨山谷，途經 Katoomba Falls（卡通巴瀑布），但因車廂玻璃霧濛濛的，視線不太清楚。車廂中央的透明玻璃地板雖然感覺很刺激，但實際視覺效果一般。 導遊建議大家完成三項體驗後便待在中心用餐，但我們決定探索更多藍山美景！ 📸 Echo Point 三姊妹峰最佳拍攝點 因為不想在觀光區花費昂貴的餐飲費用，我們選擇步行 15 分鐘 前往 Echo Point，這裡是拍攝 三姊妹峰 最棒的位置。

👉 Suggested route: Take the paved road on the way there. On the way back, take the mountain path to experience the atmosphere of the primeval forest. This journey gave us a chance to get close to nature, and we also took quite a few 'posed' photos (lol)!

🏞 Giant Stairway Adventure After returning to the cable car boarding point, we realized we still had some time, so Miao and I decided to head over to explore Katoomba Falls. Unfortunately, this is just a midpoint of the waterfall, so we couldn't enjoy the magnificent full view of the falls.

An unexpected surprise! After gathering, the guide suddenly announced he was taking us to another spot. When he announced the next stop was Echo Point, we were stunned—hadn't we just been there?! Luckily, this time he added a hidden route—Giant Stairway! 👉 Giant Stairway Exploration Highlights: • This trail leads to one of the Three Sisters peaks • Steep stairs, a challenge for your leg strength • Due to a bridge closure, you cannot pass through completely, but you can still enjoy the Three Sisters from a specific viewpoint Kun-ge thought the stairs were too steep and decided to wait for us at the top (lol). Although we couldn't reach the summit, it was still an extra experience we gained.

🏡 Strolling through Leura Village After finishing our Blue Mountains exploration, the final stop is the European-style Leura village. It features various unique boutiques and cafes, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. We took the opportunity to stop by Woolworths supermarket to grab some food (after all, we haven't had a proper meal since this morning!).

岩石區特色披薩體驗：袋鼠肉 & 鴯鶓肉 回到雪梨後，我們決定前往The Australian Heritage Hotel，這是一間位於 岩石區（The Rocks） 的經典澳洲酒吧，以其獨特的 野味披薩 聞名。 🍽 推薦口味： Coat of Arms（雙拼：袋鼠肉 + 鴯鶓肉） Pepper Kangaroo（純袋鼠肉）

👉 Taste Impressions: Kangaroo meat: Like beef with a stronger gamey flavor Emu meat: A bit like beef jerky with a slightly more acidic taste Although the price isn't cheap (68.68 AUD for two large pizzas), it was nonetheless a special culinary experience!
