Trip) Jangheung Charcoal Kiln

This is Jangheung Charcoal Kiln, located near Jangheung Recreation Area. I'm visiting here for the first time in 10 years, and it seems to have stayed exactly the same. The facilities are a bit old, but it's popular because it has a fire kiln room. There are different rooms for high, medium, low, and lukewarm temperatures, each room being different, and near the furnace in front of the charcoal fire, people also gather closely together and sweat it out. There are a few more places in that neighborhood, but The reason this place is popular is that you can grill meat over charcoal for free. There are also a few sweet potato roasting machines, and a spot in the middle of the yard's charcoal zone where you can bury sweet potatoes to roast. You just need to bring the meat and other supplies from home, and anything you're missing is available at the shop, so you can just buy it there. I only bought the wire mesh grill. There's also a separate barbecue zone area. At the central charcoal grill zone, we grilled the samgyeopsal for round one, then each table has a charcoal pit in the middle of its round table for grilling round two — but there was no spot open at the central zone for me to grill, and honestly I was too lazy to move, so I just grilled it right at the table. We grabbed everything — garae-tteok rice cakes, sweet potatoes, even ramen — and ate to our heart's content all day, and came home having sweated it all out. If you want to grab a spot on the raised platform seating, you have to do an "open run" (rush in right when it opens). When entering the high-heat room, it's hot, so bring a big towel, and socks are a must. I liked the high and medium heat rooms, so I often went into the hot room. Saying "toxins~~ get out" lol. Cover yourself with a big towel when you go in — your scalp and ears get really hot~^^
