Last day in Vienna: Belvedere Palace, Art History Museum, and a food tour

Morning: Enjoying the classic Sachertorte at Café Sacher On our last day in Vienna, we decided to start with the most iconic Café Sacher. This century-old cafe is world-renowned for its classic Sachertorte. Morning: Strolling through the Belvedere Gardens After enjoying dessert, we head to Belvedere Palace, Austria's most iconic Baroque palace. The Belvedere consists of the Upper Belvedere and Lower Belvedere, surrounded by meticulously manicured gardens. We stroll slowly along the garden paths, admiring the symmetrically arranged fountains, sculptures, and lush green lawns. From the higher parts of the garden, you can enjoy a distant view of the Vienna cityscape—it is truly a paradise for photography enthusiasts. Lunch: Tasting Viennese Delicacies at Salm Bräu For lunch, we chose Salm Bräu, located near the Belvedere Palace. This restaurant is renowned for its house-brewed beer and delicious ribs. The atmosphere is cozy, with wooden decor that creates a strong traditional Austrian tavern vibe. We ordered their most popular ribs; the exterior is slightly crispy, while the meat inside is tender and juicy, complemented by a special BBQ sauce for a rich, multi-layered flavor. Afternoon: Exploring the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna In the afternoon, we visit the Kunsthistorisches Museum (KHM). With a history spanning over 130 years, this museum not only houses some of Europe's finest artworks but is also an architectural masterpiece in its own right. The magnificent Habsburg Imperial Art Palace: This museum was established in 1891 by Emperor Franz Joseph I of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, with the purpose of making centuries of royal art collections available to the public. The opulent interior, featuring marble staircases and magnificent domes, makes you feel as if you have stepped into the art palace of the European nobility.

World-class collection highlights: KHM's collection encompasses art treasures ranging from Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Rome to the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The most unmissable exhibitions include: 1️⃣ Gemäldegalerie — A treasure trove of famous European paintings 📌 Pieter Bruegel the Elder Section. Airport Tax Refund Process After checking in at the airport, we head to the tax refund counter. The process is as follows: Make sure to carry your Tax-Free Form, shopping receipts, and passport with you. You will need to present the goods to the customs officer. After obtaining the tax refund confirmation stamp, you can choose to receive your refund via cash or credit card. After successfully completing the tax refund process, we boarded our flight, concluding this unforgettable trip to Vienna.
