🇻🇳(Review) Meat House on the 1st floor of Lotte Mart (not recommended)

GoGi House - Lotte Mart Da Nang Branch GoGi House Lotte Mart Đà Nẵng This is a Korean-style BBQ restaurant located on the 1st floor of Lotte Mart Da Nang. Back when I was a clueless newbie living in Da Nang... I went there without doing my homework and it turned into a total fiasco. I never posted a review about it, but I wanted to leave one now so you don't fail the way I did. While Sodam on the 2nd floor had a lot of Korean customers, GoGi House here on the 1st floor was mostly used by Vietnamese people. There were occasionally Korean tourists like us too... But if you look at the Google reviews, you'll see that most Koreans don't recommend it.

This photo was taken last year when I visited Lotte Mart on December 2, 2024. There weren't many people there at that time. When we visited on December 22, 2023, though, there were a huge number of people. We could barely find a seat. The store is quite a bit more spacious than you'd expect.

I ordered pork shoulder with rice, doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), and bibim naengmyeon (spicy cold noodles). The meat felt like it had been frozen and thawed. The doenjang jjigae was just so-so, and the naengmyeon seasoning didn't taste good either.. I ate with my second child since we were hungry, but we left about half of it. Both of us walked out making faces, haha. Oh, and the whole time we sat and ate at the restaurant, the smoke wasn't ventilated at all, so it was really stuffy and the air was bad.. I remember VAT being added to the price later. I couldn't take a photo of the receipt, but the price was 372,000 dong. (I made a note of it..) The concept is a Korean-style BBQ restaurant, but a place where the taste doesn't match that concept! I have no intention of visiting again.
