Why I chose this tour (actual advantages) 1️⃣ Solving "the most tiring travel" all at once After arriving in Cairo on day two, I fly directly on a domestic flight to Aswan. After already experiencing two international flights of 13 hours each, this arrangement is truly critical. If I had to take a night train or an early morning chartered car to Abu Simbel instead, my energy would be consumed very quickly. 2️⃣ The visit quality at Abu Simbel is noticeably better Because we stayed in Abu Simbel, our visiting time didn't overlap with most tour groups, so we didn't have to rush through photos in the crowds and could focus more on appreciating this temple, which ranks among my top three favorite Egyptian temples. 3️⃣ Day one on the cruise, "no movement" The cruise ship docked in Aswan, which unexpectedly turned into the only day of the entire trip where we could really immerse ourselves in everyday Egyptian city life — an unexpected bonus for me. 4️⃣ Flexible allocation of the 11 days The extra day was divided between: Luxor (spending more time at the Temple of Hatshepsut) Ho Chi Minh City (stay one extra night and fully enjoy the resort hotel's facilities)

The Reality of Group Tours | Places I Think Could Be Better ❌ Shopping stops eat into the schedule In Cairo, two afternoon slots were arranged as shopping stops. While there's no pressure to buy anything, the time was still cut up. ❌ Cruise transfers are relatively inefficient I understand the road conditions aren't great, but if the whole trip used a private chartered vehicle instead, the pacing could be much tighter. ❌ Limited depth in exploring the cities Because many nights were spent staying on the cruise ship, aside from Aswan, there was almost no chance to freely explore Luxor on your own. And Egypt truly deserves the third-place ranking that senior colleague of mine gave it.
