This time we bring you night two of our Nha Trang trip. Nha Trang is still a bit of a niche destination for Japanese travelers, so even if you search online for tourist information, you'll often only find photos of famous sights, making it hard to get a real feel for the actual atmosphere of the downtown area. This time we walked around Nha Trang's nightlife district, so we hope this gives you at least a small taste of what it's really like there. So where exactly is Nha Trang's downtown entertainment area?

[Nha Trang Travel Diary] Night 2: A leisurely stroll through the town at night

The center of the Nha Trang tourist area is the site of that rocket-like, flower-like spire you see in the picture. This spire stands along Nha Trang Beach, and there's also a night market held every evening right nearby. Since this is the main downtown area of Nha Trang, we recommend looking for your hotel in this area too. An evening stroll through Nha Trang

Now, let's take a walk through Nha Trang at night ♪ When walking around Nha Trang, try strolling along "Hung Vuong St." and "Nguyen Thien Thuat St.," which run north to south through the town. This area is lined with many shops mainly aimed at tourists. There are lots of spa & massage shops!

Nha Trang has long been a beach resort favored by Westerners, so my impression is that there are a great many cheap massage shops mainly offering foot massages. However, perhaps because more Asian visitors have started coming recently, it seems that solid, high-end spas have also steadily been increasing in number. Personally, I don't really have an image of Nha Trang as a place for luxury spas, but you can experience them for far cheaper than in Japan, so if you're interested, please be sure to try one out.

In Nha Trang, you'll hardly see chain stores like Japan's FamilyMart or 7-Eleven. Instead, the town is full of privately owned convenience stores and mini-supermarkets, so you won't have any trouble picking up everyday items! They also stock plenty of snack-type items, so while I'm not sure they'd make great souvenirs, they're perfect for a late-night snack back at the hotel♪ Restaurants are open until around 11pm at night.

Restaurants in Nha Trang are typically open from around 10pm to 11pm at night. After that, canteen-style eateries and street food stalls stay open until around midnight. Since the downtown area of Nha Trang has so many foreign tourists, shops that target them tend to stay open late into the night. Tips for enjoying a nighttime stroll around Nha Trang

When walking around Nha Trang at night, instead of just wandering without a destination, we recommend picking out a few shops or restaurants you'd like to visit beforehand.
