[Nha Trang Travel Diary] Day 2 Afternoon: Trying the Famous Mud Bath Experience ♪

As announced last time, this time I'll report on the "mud hot spring" that I visited on the second day, which is popular among travelers to Nha Trang (^^♪ The location is "I Resort," located behind Po Nagar Cham Towers.

The place is behind Po Nagar Tower. That said, it's the kind of spot you reach by riding a motorbike down a narrow winding path the whole way. Also, as you can see, the reception area is extremely crowded. Vietnamese people will cut in line no matter what, so if you have some money to spare, it might be better to join a local tour. If you join a tour, the guide will take care of buying the tickets for you. This time I visited I-Resort, but there are actually a few other facilities in Nha Trang city where you can enjoy mud baths. I chose this one because it seems to be the most popular among travelers and also the largest in scale m(__)m What can you do at Nha Trang's mud bath "I-Resort"? An overview

Nha Trang's "I-Resort" mainly features mud baths, but it also has a restaurant, an outdoor pool, a waterfall, and a spa. Swimsuits and towels are available for rent, so you don't need to bring your own. And of course, there are separate lockers and changing areas for men and women, so you can feel at ease. The whole place is filled with a wonderful tropical atmosphere. Let's dive right into the mud bath experience♪

This is the mud hot spring. There's a type that fits about two people, and a type where everyone bathes together. I'm a bit shy around strangers, so I passed on bathing with a bunch of random people. So this time I used this one instead. That said, this one is more expensive. I think it was a little over 2000 yen.

Since it's called a mud hot spring, I expected it to be more muddy, but surprisingly it feels smooth and clean. It's also nice that it has a bit of a herbal scent. By the way, this mud hot spring seems to have a high salt concentration, so your body floats just like in the Dead Sea. It was my first time experiencing this, and it's such a strange sensation. It almost makes me feel like it's worth visiting a mud hot spring just to experience this.

This is the one where you get hit by the waterfall. It's especially popular with kids. Pressing your hands together like a monk in training seems to be a thing in Vietnam too, apparently. There were a few Westerners there as well, but I wonder what goes through their minds while they're being struck by the waterfall... The pool was also fairly large. The water was warm.

The pool was nice and spacious. There's one for kids too, and there was even a water slide. It feels like a theme park in itself, and you might think, "This could be a place to enjoy for half a day," but looking through various reviews, there also seem to be some downsides, such as: the spa isn't very pleasant, the restaurant isn't very tasty, and it gets crowded on holidays. Now for a summary and a preview of next time…There's no need to visit if this is your first trip to Nha Trang! The budget is around 3,000 yen per person. Considering that, I felt it wasn't really worth the cost.We also enjoyed the mud spring + pool, but we left before even two hours had passed (^^;). To be honest, my level of satisfaction was more like "this could be a nice place to drop by if you're a Vietnam resident visiting Nha Trang, or someone on their second or later trip to Nha Trang and have some extra time to kill."
