Hanoi to Sapa transportation options (5–6 hours) From Hanoi to Sapa, the journey takes about 5–6 hours. Sa Pa Classic Sights Overview Fansipan Peak The highest peak in Southeast Asia — you can quickly reach the summit by taking the Sun World Fansipan Legend cable car and the summit funicular train. Along the way you'll see a sea of clouds, a cluster of temples, and a 20-meter-tall Buddha statue. If you're up for it, you can choose to hike part of the way and take on the challenge of reaching the "Roof of Indochina.

Muong Hoa Valley Trekking Sapa's most classic trekking route, passing through terraced rice fields, streams, and ethnic minority villages. Villages along the way include Lao Chai, Ta Van, Giang Ta Chai, and more. You can choose a half-day, one-day, or multi-day trekking itinerary to deeply experience the local culture.

Cat Cat Village A settlement of the Black Hmong people, famous for weaving, silver jewelry, and traditional costumes. From the summit you can look out over all of Sa Pa and the distant Fansipan mountain range, making it the best viewpoint in town. (I went in December, and since I got there too late, it was all fog, so I couldn't really get any nice photos of the scenery.)

Love Waterfall and Silver Waterfall, located along the mountain road leading to the Rong May Glass Bridge. While not a must-visit, they can serve as a brief stop along the way.
