๐จ2026 Incheon Airport Valet Parking System Complete Overhaul!! Key Summary!!
Starting January 1, 2026, the way valet parking (parking assistance service) operates at Incheon International Airport will change significantly. Previously, vehicles were received and returned immediately near the short-term parking lot at the passenger terminal, but this system will shift to being centered around the outlying long-term parking lot. As a result, the service details, the way vehicles are moved, and the cost structure, among other things, will change.

๐ Airport 1 (Terminal 1) Valet Parking System โ Existing System (~2025) Valet parking drop-off and pick-up took place in the underground short-term parking lot of Terminal 1 (near the terminal). Customers could hand over and retrieve their cars right next to the passenger terminal. โ What's Changing from 2026 โ๏ธ The drop-off and pick-up location is moving The valet vehicle drop-off and pick-up location is moving from right next to the terminal to the outer "long-term parking lot" area. โ๏ธ How the transfer works After customers hand over their vehicle, they will need to take a shuttle bus โ running every 10 minutes โ from the long-term parking lot, about 4โ5km away, to reach the passenger terminal. โ๏ธ Expected benefits The short-term parking space that was previously used for valet vehicles Restored to parking space for general passengers, โ Expected to ease parking congestion ๐ Terminal 2 (2nd Passenger Terminal) Valet Parking System โ Previous System (~2025) Drop-off and pick-up were handled at the short-term underground parking lot of the Terminal Transportation Center. Once you handed over your vehicle, you could pick it up right near the short-term parking lot. โ Changes starting in 2026 โ๏ธ Drop-off/pick-up location is moving Reception for Terminal 2 remains available as before at the underground short-term parking area in the terminal transportation center. However, vehicle handover has been changed to take place at the long-term parking area on the outskirts. โ๏ธ How to get there When picking up your vehicle, you'll need to take a shuttle to get there. โ๏ธ Expected benefits By securing short-term parking space just like at Terminal 1, we expect improved parking convenience for general passenger car users. ๐ What's changing for valet parking users โ Changes in convenience and procedure โ๏ธ Through 2025 Valet vehicle drop-off/pick-up is available right next to the passenger terminal. โ๏ธ From 2026 onward Both valet drop-off and pick-up will be handled mainly at the outer waiting area or the long-term parking lot. Customers will be required to take a shuttle, so travel time is expected to increase. โ Cost changes โ๏ธ Updated cost The regular valet service costs about 20,000 won, and a premium parking valet service has now been introduced. In this case, the fee is raised to 40,000 won (reception/handover is still possible at the short-term parking lot, just as before). ๐ Why is this changing? (Explanation from the airport) โ๏ธ Easing parking lot congestion By returning the short-term parking space that had been occupied by valet parking to regular users, Expected improvement in peak-season congestion โ๏ธ Safety improvement Easing parking congestion is expected to reduce roadside parking and other hazards, improving overall safety. โ๏ธ Operational efficiency Simplifying the structure of valet operations aims to improve overall parking management efficiency across the airport. ๐ Things to note โ๏ธ Consider shuttle timing Please check the shuttle waiting time at the long-term parking lot in advance and plan your arrival time with some extra buffer. โ๏ธCheck the premium service If you're using premium valet parking, please check the service details and cost in advance. โ๏ธCheck terminal-specific location information Since the drop-off point is farther away, please familiarize yourself with the route beforehand!

Starting in 2026, Incheon Airport valet parking has added moves to the outer parking lots, shuttle use, and even a fare increase, so it's become harder to feel like the 'fast and convenient service' it used to be โ quite a letdown. So I cautiously expect more and more people will start using long-term parking lots or private valet services instead. Next time, I'll write about the changed valet parking method at Incheon Airport Terminal 1, and about 'Coco Valet', our local partner company in Da Nang~~ Thank you for reading this long post ๐
