The hotel where we stayed on the last day was in a forest about 30 minutes south of Da Lat Market by car. Shuttle buses run several times a day, so if you can match the schedule, you can get there for free (a taxi cost around 1,000 yen, I think). Southern Da Lat has seen resort development over the past few years, and several 4-star and 5-star resort hotels have opened. There are no convenience stores nearby, so please make sure to stock up on daily necessities, late-night snacks, and drinks around Da Lat Market. Da Lat hotel experience: "Eden See Lake Resort & Spa

Where I'm staying tonight is this place, the "Dalat Edensee Lake Resort & Spa." It's a resort hotel set on an expansive property in the forest, right on the lakeside. The room rate is about 7,000 to 15,000 yen, so well, that's about the going rate for a luxury hotel in Dalat... it's cheap, isn't it~.

The atmosphere is reminiscent of medieval France. You can fully feel the Western ambiance. While waiting to check in at the spacious reception, we were served what seemed to be homemade cookies and tea.

You'll find rooms with this kind of stylish atmosphere all over the place.

This is what the room is like. When I looked into it more, it seems that some rooms have a bad view or don't even have a window at all, so I'd recommend choosing a garden view or lake view room. The room wasn't especially clean, but I did like the spacious layout. Also, I ran into one issue — the room I booked had a bathtub in the photos, but there actually wasn't one. When I filed a complaint, they said, "There are multiple room types within the same grade, and guests can't choose." Since I booked through Agoda, I also filed a complaint with Agoda, but it seems the hotel's side of the story is being accepted( ノД`)シクシク… Taking a walk around the hotel grounds♪ It's a nice, relaxing time, so very "Da Lat.

After checking into the hotel, it's time for a stroll around the grounds ♪ The grounds are laid out in a circle, so if you just keep walking straight ahead, you'll end up right back at your starting point.

This is a tennis court. We also have a smaller court where you can play pickleball, which has recently become quite popular here. I tried it for the first time too, and I found it easier than tennis because the ball is easier to control. ♪

A short walk from the tennis court and we came across this beautiful lakeside scenery ♡ You can rent boats for around 1,500 yen each and enjoy a scenic cruise. There was also archery available nearby. Since no one was there, we skipped it, but I think if you ask the staff nearby, they'd probably let you do it (I'm not sure if it's free or paid).

Took a walk by the lakeside. I heard some animal cries and wondered what they were — turns out there were goats and peacocks there (lol) The breakfast buffet was excellent too.

The breakfast buffet also had a wide variety of dishes, and we could choose between eating indoors or outdoors. Since it was a bit chilly that morning, we ate inside. There was a rich selection of Vietnamese food, including Da Lat vegetables and meat dishes, but I do wish they had offered a few more international options. On the last day, I took a stroll around Dalat's city center. If you head out to the outskirts of Dalat, there are several spots where you can encounter breathtaking scenery and famous places where you can play with animals, but personally, I prefer to leisurely walk around the city center, stopping into shops that catch my eye, and spending time at cafes where baristas brew coffee for me.

The streets I always walk along are Truong Cong Dinh St. and Tang Bat Ho St. right here. They're very close to Dalat Market. This neighborhood is packed with eateries famous for Dalat specialties, souvenir shops, and cafés. The road slopes downhill, and if you just keep going down, you'll enter the area where locals actually live, which is also well worth exploring.

This is Xuan Phuong Lake. Just head straight with Da Lat Market behind you. It's quite spacious, so a full walk around it isn't really possible, but in the morning and evening, you'll often see Western residents of Da Lat jogging here—it's become a daily sight.

Also, at the lakeside you can enjoy activities like duck-shaped paddle boats and horse-drawn carriage rides. Nearby is a tourist spot called "Da Lat City Garden," where you can view monuments and flower fields woven together from hundreds of species of flowers. South of Xuan Huong Lake is a plaza called Lam Vien Square, and inside the facility there is a supermarket. From evening onward, local families with children gather there, and it becomes very lively. Summary: The Appeal of Dalat. Why Do I Visit Here Again and Again? How did you enjoy this Dalat travel story, following our Nha Trang adventure? As a nature resort, Dalat is a highly recommended destination for those seeking peaceful getaways and quiet moments. While I can't definitively say whether it's worth the journey all the way from Japan, I do think it makes an excellent choice for a second Vietnam trip.
