[Dalat Travel Diary 2026] Final Day: Enjoying the Resort Hotel & City Sightseeing

The Dalat trip wraps up with the Nature Resort Hotel!

The hotel where we stayed on the final day is in a forest about 30 minutes' drive south of Da Lat Market. Shuttle buses run several times a day, so if you can match the schedule, you can get there for free (I think a taxi would cost around 1000 yen). Southern Da Lat has seen resort development over the past few years, and several 4-star and 5-star resort hotels have opened. There are no convenience stores nearby, so please be sure to stock up on daily necessities, late-night snacks, and drinks around Da Lat Market. The place we're staying tonight is the "Dalat Edensee Lake Resort & Spa." It's a resort hotel with an expansive property, set in the forest right on the lakeside. The room rate runs about 7,000 to 15,000 yen, so, well, that's roughly the going rate for a high-end hotel in Dalat... It's pretty cheap, isn't it~.

The atmosphere feels like medieval France. You can fully experience a rich Western ambiance. While waiting to check in at the spacious reception, we were served what seemed to be homemade cookies and tea.

This is what the room looks like. After looking into it further, it seems some rooms have a bad view or don't even have a window at all, so I'd recommend choosing a garden view or lake view room. The room wasn't particularly clean, but I liked that the floor plan was fairly spacious. Also, I ran into one issue: the room I booked showed a bathtub in the photos, but there actually wasn't one.When I filed a complaint, they said, "There are multiple room types within the same grade, and the guest can't choose." I booked through agoda, so I filed a complaint with agoda too, but it seems the hotel's argument is being accepted( ﾉД`)ｼｸｼｸ… Taking a stroll around the hotel grounds♪ A leisurely time that feels just like Da Lat

After checking in to the hotel, it's time for a stroll around the grounds ♪ The grounds are laid out in a circle, so if you just keep walking straight ahead, you'll find your way back to where you started.

This is a tennis court. There's also a court with half the area, where you can play pickleball, which is really popular these days. I tried it for the first time too, and I found it easier to control the ball than in tennis ♪

A short walk from the tennis courts, I came across this beautiful lakeside view ♡ You can rent a boat for about 1,500 yen and go out on the lake. There was also an archery range nearby. No one was there, so I skipped it, but I think if you ask the staff nearby, they'll probably let you try it (not sure if it's free or paid though).

I took a walk by the lakeside. I thought I heard animal cries, and sure enough, there were goats and peacocks there (lol) The breakfast buffet was also excellent.

The breakfast buffet also had a wide variety of dishes, and we could choose between eating indoors or outdoors. Since it was a bit chilly that morning, we decided to eat inside. There was an abundance of Vietnamese food, including Da Lat vegetables and meat dishes, but it would have been nice if they had offered a bit more international cuisine. On my final day, I strolled around downtown Dalat. If you head out to the suburbs, Dalat has quite a few spots with stunning scenery and places where you can play with animals, but personally, I prefer to take a leisurely walk through the town center, popping into shops that catch my eye, or spending time at a café where the barista brews my coffee for me.

I always walk along Truong Cong Dinh St. and Tang Bat Ho St. here. They're right next to Dalat Market. This neighborhood is packed with local eateries famous for Dalat cuisine, souvenir shops, and cafes. The street slopes downhill, and if you just keep walking down, you'll enter the area where locals actually live—that part is well worth exploring too.

This is Xuan Huong Lake. Just walk straight ahead with Dalat Market behind you. It's quite large, so you can't walk all the way around it, but every morning and evening, it's a common sight to see Westerners living in Dalat out for a run.

You can also enjoy duck boats and horse-carriage rides by the lakeside. Nearby, there is a tourist spot called "Da Lat City Garden," where you can visit monuments and flower fields woven together from hundreds of species of flowers. To the south of Xuan Huong Lake lies a square called Lam Vien Square, which houses a supermarket within its premises. From evening onward, local families with children gather there, making it quite lively.      Summary: The charm of Da Lat. Why do I find myself visiting here again and again? How did you like this Da Lat travel report, following on from Nha Trang? Da Lat is a nature resort destination, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to spend some quiet time. I'm not entirely sure whether it's worth the long trip for Japanese travelers coming all the way from Japan, but as a destination for your second trip to Vietnam, I think it's definitely worth recommending.
