📢 Yeongjong Island's Third Bridge for Incheon Airport Accessibility Opens – The Third Link Bridge

Did you know there used to be only 2 bridges connecting Seoul-Gyeonggi to Yeongjongdo, Incheon Airport! The existing Yeongjong Bridge and Incheon Bridge, that's two! But just a few days ago, on January 5th, a third bridge connecting Yeongjongdo and Incheon opened! The Third Interconnecting Bridge! The third bridge crossing through the Cheongna area of Seo-gu, Incheon! From the Incheon Bupyeong, Bucheon, and Guro areas, it's a road that goes straight through in a direct line, so... For those living around Seoun-dong or Bupyeong, you probably had to choose between Yeongjong Grand Bridge or Incheon Bridge to get to Incheon Airport, but now that the Third Link Bridge has opened, access to Yeongjong Island has become much better. I saw in the news that it's also possible to cross by bicycle, so I think it'll be great for cycling enthusiasts to ride over to Yeongjong Island. The observation deck hasn't opened yet, and the Third Link Bridge doesn't have an official name yet, but it seems like a name will be announced soon. Currently, tolls are free until the 15th! Those of you living in the Seo-gu area of Incheon! Now when heading to Incheon Airport, you can take the 3rd Incheon Bridge, so it'll be even faster~^

The tollgate here is the overhead (gantry) type. It's shorter than Incheon Bridge, and the road has 3 lanes. Since Incheon Bridge is so long, this one feels short. ^^ When we go out from our house toward the Gueupbaetteo area of Yeongjongdo, we always used to cross Incheon Bridge to get there, but this time I noticed the navigation guided us via the Third Yeongjong (Third Interconnecting) Bridge instead. When heading to the Gueupbaetteo area of Yeongjongdo, the distance is about 10km shorter than going via Incheon Bridge, but time-wise it's about the same as going via Incheon Bridge. That's probably because it passes through downtown Incheon, with lots of traffic lights and city roads.
