AEON MALL Đà Nẵng Thanh Khê is a brand-new spot that opened its doors on July 1, 2026.
It's only about a 5-minute drive from Da Nang International Airport, so it's the perfect spot both for stopping by right after you land and for getting your wallet emptied(?) one last time before you fly out.

It's literally right in front of the airport. It's the kind of place where you get off the plane, say "let's just take a quick look" on the way to your hotel, and suddenly several hours have vanished.

It's spacious and sparkling right from the entrance. I was worn out from the Da Nang heat, but the moment I stepped inside, the air-conditioned breeze cleared my head.

It's much bigger inside than you'd expect. It's so big that I wonder if it's the largest shopping mall in Da Nang. Comfortable shoes are a must.

[1F — AEON Mart · Bakery · Café] As soon as you walk in, the AEON Bakery greets you. The smell of pizza and freshly baked bread grabs you by the ankles right from the entrance. I've decided my diet starts on the 2nd floor.

Shiny croissants, sausage rolls, and hot dogs are lined up in rows. This is not a section you should pass by when you're hungry. I held back. With great difficulty.

This is the ready-made sushi corner at AEON Mart. There's a really wide variety, and each one is neatly packaged. It seemed perfect for a light dinner to enjoy back at the hotel.

You can get all your daily essentials in one go at the AEON Mart on the 1st floor. Even if you forgot to bring something, you can buy everything here.

Dalat Retro is a place that sells Da Lat specialties like tea, nuts, and dried fruit. With its carousel decorations and colorful lights, I thought it was a gift and trinket shop at first.

The packaging is cute and the size is just right, so it's perfect as a gift. I think you can stop worrying about gifts for coworkers and friends right here.

This is Glam Beautique, a cosmetics select shop. Time flies when you're browsing cosmetics, so if you're with others, be sure to set a time to meet up in advance.

There are no fewer than three cafés on the first floor alone. One of them is Paris Levain, a bakery café with breads and cakes on display. The bread I resisted earlier puts my willpower to the test all over again here.

It's Phê La, located at the corner. It's a Vietnamese brand famous for its oolong tea and coffee, so it's a great place to stop by when you're craving a truly Vietnamese drink.

There's also a Starbucks at the entrance on the first floor. Stop by when you miss a familiar taste, or when you're curious about Da Nang-exclusive merchandise.

There's a VietinBank currency exchange on the 1st floor. Even if your wallet runs empty while shopping, you can exchange money right here. That's one less excuse to stop shopping.

[2nd Floor — Fashion & Cosmetics] The 2nd floor is where clothing and cosmetics stores are gathered. There's even a Tommy Hilfiger, so it's really fun to browse around.

Sports brands like Adidas, Nike, and MLB are all gathered in one place, too. Even if you don't work out, you always want to buy new sneakers, right?

There's also Lacoste, the brand with the crocodile logo. A neat piqué polo shirt looks great in travel photos.

There are also Charles & Keith and Pedro, both popular for their bags and shoes. Here, "I'm just looking" is a promise that's hard to keep.

MUJI, which has just opened its first store in Da Nang, is also on the 2nd floor. UNIQLO's first Da Nang store opened on the same floor too, so you can finish all your Japanese brand shopping on this floor.

[3rd Floor — Restaurants & Play Area] The 3rd floor has both restaurants and play facilities. Among them, Marugame Udon, a Japanese udon and tempura specialty restaurant, has an open kitchen, so you can even watch the noodles being made.

There's also Manwah, a restaurant specializing in Taiwanese-style hot pot. Just imagine enjoying a steaming hot pot in a place with the air conditioning blasting!

If you want to grab a quick meal, there's Texas Chicken. On days when you're serious about shopping, fast food is the most efficient choice.

There's also a KFC. It's that familiar taste you can count on wherever you go, so it's reassuring to have when you're with kids or picky eaters.

House of Luggage, a store specializing in suitcases, is also on the 3rd floor. No need to worry even if your bags pile up while shopping. You can just buy one more suitcase!

There's an arcade too. I thought it was a place for kids, but the adults are playing even more seriously.

If you get tired from walking, you can take a break in the massage chair. The only downside is that once you sit down for a moment, you won't want to get up.

[4F — Restaurant Floor · Cinema] The 4th floor is home to our restaurant area and cinema. First up is Dotori Dining, a Japanese-style fusion restaurant. It serves dishes that blend Japanese and Western cuisine, such as pasta and curry rice.

This is Ushi Mania, where you grill beef on volcanic stone. The cow sculpture at the entrance is telling you with its whole body, "This is the place for great meat!

This is Som Tam Thai, an authentic Thai restaurant. There are surprisingly many Thai restaurants in AEON Mall, and this place was pretty crowded too. Thai food in Vietnam — that's part of the fun of traveling, isn't it?

This is 'Taste of Korea,' a place serving Korean-style grilled meat and hot pot. The sign also reads 'Nướng & Lẩu vị Hàn' (Korean-style grill & hot pot). I think it'll come to mind whenever you're craving Korean food while traveling.

It was a bit disappointing that the only Vietnamese restaurant was Chả Cá Hàng Sơn, which serves Hanoi-style grilled fish. Still, since you've come all the way to Vietnam, don't forget to try Vietnamese food at least once.

On the 4th floor, there's a movie theater called Galaxy CineX. It even has a Dolby Vision·Atmos screen, so it could be a great refuge when rain messes up your plans.

The neon installation on the 4th floor turns white when you step on the floor. It's the kind of place where even grown adults end up stepping on it again and again. It's also a great spot for taking photos.

Don't miss the bus stop-shaped photo zone on the 4th floor, either. No bus will ever come, but you can still catch the shot of a lifetime.

[Handy Tip — Luggage Storage]
No need to drag your suitcase around while shopping.
The Information Counter near the main entrance on the 1st floor will store your bags and luggage for free. It's the perfect last shopping stop before heading to the airport.
You can also put small items in the smart lockers (E-lockers), which you use through the AEONMALL Vietnam app. Based on other AEON Mall branches, you choose a locker in the app and open the door with a QR code. The lockers are located at the spot circled in the image above.
And if your phone battery is running low while you're shopping, remember the free charging stations near the rest area chairs on floors 2 to 4.

It was clean and cool throughout, so it was perfect for shopping while escaping the Da Nang heat.
There are so many stores, so give yourself plenty of time and explore every corner. It's the kind of place where you plan for 2 hours and end up staying 4. There are lots of clean restaurants too, so you won't have to worry much about where to eat.
Since it's close to the airport, be sure to add it to your itinerary on the first or last day of your trip. Just know that we can't take responsibility for your suitcase getting heavier :)
