(🇻🇳Room 6, Aug 30 - Sep 4) Travel journal.. late night dinner time at "Ocken Hoi An Seafood Restaurant

Hoi An Local Seafood Restaurant Ọc Kèn. All movement within Hoi An was done by electric motorbike. So even medium or long distances could be traveled quickly. One thing I should mention is that I don't have a motorbike license. I don't normally ride motorbikes at all. In the past nearly 10 years, the only time I've ridden one was during my trip to Hoi An this past May. Haha. If you know how to ride a bicycle, I think you can ride it easily and safely. Since there are more motorbikes than cars, please always drive carefully. We got somewhere that would take 30 minutes on foot really quickly.

This is a seafood restaurant I ate so deliciously at on my last trip. It's already become famous^^ Personally I'm not a big fan of seafood, but this place is really good at grilling, braising, and stir-frying dishes. It's a place that a lot of locals visit too, so the prices were also pretty cheap. Around 60,000 dong~ They grill the banh mi over charcoal too. Ordering one banh mi bread and dipping it in the sauce is also an exquisite taste. Every single dish we ordered that day came out wrong, lol. It seemed like our food got mixed up with another table's. I mentioned it to the staff while we were eating, and even the staff seemed to sense it, looking a bit embarrassed, haha. 6 out of 7 dishes came out wrong, but we only sent one back and just ate the rest. The ingredients were the same, but the cooking methods were completely different for each dish... To give you just one example, we had ordered the scallion-oil grilled scallops, but Butter cheese scallops (see photo) have arrived!

So many kinds of food and 2 cans of beer (I didn't drink, haha) — for less than 20,000 won, I ate until I was stuffed and it was so delicious. On a cloudy day with heavy air, watching the charcoal smoke drift up into the sky made me feel like I was back at my country house having a meal.
