🏨 6 Things to Check Before the Photos When Booking a Hotel in Da Nang

Hello😀 When choosing a hotel while preparing for your Da Nang trip, have you ever booked one on the spot just because of the pretty photos?

When you actually get there, there are more times than you'd think when you go, "Huh? This looks different from the photos?" 😅

Today, I've put together 6 things you should definitely check before pressing the reservation button!

1️⃣ Actual Location 📍

Even if a hotel description says 'near My Khe Beach' or 'in the city center,' don't take it at face value!

✔️ Search for the hotel name directly on Google Maps to check its location.

✔️ It's also a good idea to check whether there are convenience stores, restaurants, and massage shops nearby.

✔️ Check how many minutes it takes by taxi to the places you want to visit, like Han Market and Dragon Bridge!

2️⃣ Distance to the beach 🏖️

Ocean view' and 'right in front of the beach' are completely different.

✔️ Check on the map how many minutes it takes to walk to the beach

✔️ Be sure to check whether you'll need to cross the big coastal road. There are a lot of motorbikes, so if you're traveling with kids, it can be surprisingly nerve-racking 🛵

✔️ Also check whether an ocean view room has a 'front view' or a 'side view'!

3️⃣ Soundproofing 🔇

In Da Nang, many places have motorbike noise and construction noise until late at night.

✔️ Try searching the reviews for 'noise', ‘loud’, or 'construction'.

✔️ If you request an inner-facing or higher-floor room instead of one facing the road, it's much quieter.

✔️ Also check whether there's a rooftop bar or club nearby 🎶

4️⃣ Breakfast 🍳

Breakfast is a key point that greatly influences how satisfied you are with a hotel!

✔️ Check out the actual breakfast menu lineup through review photos.

✔️ Whether there's a pho corner or Korean dishes on the menu also matters more than you'd think 🍜

✔️ If you compare the rate with breakfast included to the extra charge for adding it on-site, you may find it's sometimes better to just eat out.

5️⃣ Swimming pool availability 🏊‍♀️

It must be really upsetting to book after seeing photos of the infinity pool, only to find it under renovation 😢

✔️ Check reviews from the past 1–2 months to see whether the pool is under construction or closed

✔️ Check the operating hours too. Some rooftop pools close earlier than you might think.

✔️ In Da Nang, autumn to early winter is the rainy season, so it's better to focus more on room condition and accessibility than on the pool ☔
