Trip diary, day 7🛫🇻🇳 Hoi An banh xeo restaurant recommendation, Song Hoai
Song Hoai It's a name you've heard somewhere before, isn't it? This is Song Hoai Square. It's also a place where all sorts of events are held in Hoi An~ (Click the photo for Google Maps)

This is a bánh xèo place that shares its name with this square. If you look at the map below, you'll see a spot with lots of Grab drivers. Go straight into the alley right in front of that, and you'll find the restaurant. The first time you go into the alley, you'll definitely find yourself wondering, "Is this really the right way?" — just like with Bánh Mì Cô Tiên in Đà Nẵng, haha (though this alley is wider than the one at Bánh Mì Cô Tiên).

It was 7:30 PM when we arrived. A couple of groups were already having their meal. We ordered every single item shown on the menu! They're all priced the same at 40k. The signature dishes are the crispy Bánh Xèo, the charcoal-grilled pork Thịt Nướng, and the skewered Nem Lụi — these three are the core menu items. Bánh Xèo is kind of like a savory pancake fried in oil, you know the type. Thịt Nướng is pork skewered flat between wooden chopsticks and grilled. Nem Lụi is meat formed around a stick and grilled. It was inexpensive, but the portions were decent and the taste was pretty good too.

We also ate the takeout food (kimbap) we brought along together.. (please ask the owner for his understanding on this)

Our business hours are until 9pm. I'm not sure whether there's air conditioning or not — I haven't been able to check in detail. But we do have a nice cool fan haha!
