Xuan Thieu Beach: a quiet sea for families, white sand without noisy food stalls

Xuan Thieu Beach is located in Hoa Hiep Nam Ward, Lien Chieu District, about 12 km north of downtown Da Nang. The beach stretches 4 km, with fine white sand, jade-green water, and small, even waves — safe for children to swim.

Unlike the crowded My Khe, Xuan Thieu has almost no eateries lining the beach, no high-rises packed tightly together. There are just a few small resorts scattered about (Xuan Thieu Resort, Fusion Suites). It feels as relaxing as a private beach — sitting on the shore gazing out, with no one bothering you.

From Da Nang: take Grab for 20 minutes, around 120,000 VND. No direct bus available. If you're doing a pure beach day, bring your own drinks and light snacks. Late afternoon 16:30-18:00 is the most beautiful — the sunset behind Hai Van Pass creates a stunning silhouette view.
