Da Nang trip review ✈️ BÁNH ÉP HUẾ - SNACK SINCE 1998

During this trip to Da Nang, the No.1 place I most wanted to visit!! BÁNH ÉP HUẾ - ĂN VẶT 1998. I've wanted to go there ever since my last trip, but I never got the chance, so this time I was determined to make sure I went!! But because of the Vietnamese national holiday, my first visit ended in failure 😭 They said it would open on the 4th, but of all times, my trip... It's the last day and it opens late in the afternoon... I almost couldn't make it again, but I nagged my friend into taking a Grab with me, and off we zoomed! 😁 As expected of a popular spot, all the tables were full. We finally got one seat and sat in a corner, and ordered exactly three things I'd been wanting to try!! Bánh xèo/Bánh ép: rolled up like a rice pancake and eaten with fresh herbs — tastes like honey! 🍯 Bánh căn/Bánh cuốn nướng: pressed in a Vietnamese-style waffle maker... A new style of grilled bánh tráng nướng! 🍯 flavor! Bánh mì kẹp: pressed in a Vietnamese-style waffle machine, a cheap pizza-flavored treat! 🍯 flavor! And... two more drinks please 😁 Since it's near the University of Economics on the An Thượng side, a lot of students come here, so it turns out they don't sell alcohol. Honestly I didn't really know how to eat it either, so I kept sneaking glances at the girls at the next table eating it, and then we made eye contact lol 😅 Watching us fumble around trying to learn how to make the sauce must have looked funny and fascinating to them, because in the end they just made it for us themselves! Talk about kindness, right?!! 👍 And honestly, communicating through hand gestures and body language like that is part of the charm of traveling, isn't it? Hehehe. Thanks to our friends at the next table, we finally got the sauce made properly and ate so, so well 😆 We were the only two foreigners among a bunch of Vietnamese MZ generation kids! Kyaaaa~~~!! I felt so good about it 😆

Banh mi thit/Banh xeo/Banh xep/2 drinks = 64,000 VND 👍 As cheap as the little snack shop in front of a school! I really have to compliment this 👏👏👏 Well, it's local so who knows about hygiene~ Strong stomach! Turn a blind eye! Highly recommend for those who can handle it 👍
