Champa Museum in Da Nang: the world's largest collection of Champa sculptures

The Đà Nẵng Museum of Cham Sculpture was established in 1919 by the École française d'Extrême-Orient. It houses more than 300 sandstone sculptures from the 7th to 15th centuries, crafted by the Cham people — an ethnic group that once had the powerful kingdom of Champa along central Vietnam.

Inside: statues of the gods Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma in Hindu style, delicate relief sculptures of dancing Apsara figures, the head of the god Garuda, and revered linga-yoni. The layout is organized by excavation site: My Son, Dong Duong, Tra Kieu, and Tham Mam. Each room features explanatory materials in English, Vietnamese, and French.

Tickets are 60,000đ per person, with English/Korean/Japanese audio guide available for an additional 20,000đ. Visit time is 1-2 hours. Located right in the heart of 2 Tháng 9 Street, beside the Han River—combine morning sightseeing with an afternoon riverside walk to Dragon Bridge.
