Bánh canh ruộng is a dish unique to Da Nang, and if you want to try the authentic original, locals will point you straight to the shop at 20 Ha Thi Than Street. The restaurant is located at 20 Ha Thi Than, An Hai, right in the old Son Tra area. It's open-air style but very clean and neat, spacious and cool, with fast and enthusiastic service. The name "bánh canh ruộng" (rice noodle soup of the rice field) came from the old days when this area was still all mud and rice paddies — if you wanted to eat it, you had to wade all the way out to the fields. The broth here is made from tuna boiling water and fish bones, so it has a naturally sweet and fragrant taste; the bánh canh noodles come in both tapioca flour and rice flour varieties for you to choose from. A full bowl consisting of fish cake, fried fish, sour pork roll, Vietnamese pork sausage, quail eggs, and one huge pork bone. Especially, instead of fried dough sticks (quẩy), the restaurant pairs it with crispy fried spring rolls (ram) — crispy all the way down to the filling — something that anyone who tries it once will remember. ✨ Reasons you should visit: 🐟 Fish broth made from tuna – sweet and fragrant, with the distinctive Central Vietnamese flavor that can't be found anywhere else. 🍤 A generous mixed bowl overflowing with: fish cakes, fried fish, spring rolls, pâté sausage, quail eggs, and pork bones. 🥢 Crispy fried shrimp as a side – a unique feature of countryside bánh canh, completely different from the fried snacks you find elsewhere. 💸 Super affordable prices, only about 15,000 – 45,000đ per bowl, the place is packed with local customers every evening. 📍 20 Ha Thi Than, An Hai, Da Nang 📞 0905 715 296 🕐 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM daily
