Da Nang Morning: 3 Quang Noodle Shops Worth Waking Up Early For
In Da Nang, mi Quang isn't just a breakfast dish — it's how people start the day. Thick yellow noodles, a broth that's thick and just barely covers them, a handful of crispy roasted peanuts, and sesame rice crackers broken up on top.
After a few weeks of wandering around from Hai Chau to Son Tra, I've picked out the 3 restaurants I kept coming back to the most.
1. Mì Quảng Bà Mua (Hải Châu) The shop is packed from 6am. The broth is rich and flavorful, and the free-range chicken is firm and tasty. Be sure to order some quẩy (fried breadsticks) to dip in the broth — it's the perfect combo.
2. Mì Quảng Frog Noodles at Bếp Trang (Sơn Trà) The frog is fried until wonderfully crispy and served with fresh noodles. It tastes a bit different from the traditional version, but it's worth trying at least once.
3. Mi Quang Nhung (An Hai) A small, budget-friendly restaurant, perfect for those who enjoy a light, delicate flavor. Sitting on the sidewalk in the morning listening to the sound of motorbikes passing by — it's so Da Nang.
