Coffee with Han River views at sunset: 3 cafes not to be missed

Sunset in Da Nang comes early — 6:30 PM in summer, 5:30 PM in winter. The best way to watch it: sit at a rooftop café overlooking the Han River, watch the sun set behind Son Tra Mountain to the east, and see the Dragon Bridge's lights gradually switch on from west to east.
Cộng Cà Phê Bạch Đằng — 2nd floor with a direct view of Dragon Bridge. Retro decor from the subsidy era. Signature drink: coconut cream coffee (65k). Popular with Korean guests — arrive before 5:00 PM to get a window seat.
Highlands Coffee Đài Sen — a tall building, the 22nd floor has a sky bar. The coffee is just average, but nowhere else compares for that 360° view. Signature drink: peach tea freeze (55k). No need to book a table. The Coffee House on the Han River — spacious shop, comfortable seats, strong wifi. No sky view, but you get to sit on the ground floor right by the riverbank, with a cool breeze, and you can have a light snack there. Signature: salt coffee (45k). Crowded with students and freelancers working in the evening.
☕ Golden hour: 5:00 PM until the Dragon Bridge lights up (~7:00 PM) · Salted coffee is Da Nang's latest specialty — try at least one café
