Da Nang
🏡 Cà Nóc Café – "Not a SHOP, but a HOME" in a small alley in Hải Châu
Translated from Vietnamese
1/12
Amid the bustling streets of Da Nang, there is a café tucked away in a small alley at 50/2 Le Dinh Duong (Hai Chau) that you could easily walk right past if you weren't deliberately looking for it. Cà Nóc Café doesn't like to call itself a "shop" — its slogan is "It's not a SHOP but a HOME". When you step inside, it feels more like dropping by a friend's house than going out for coffee.
🏡 What's special here?
• The "home" spirit: everything is arranged so you can slow down — bring along a book, and spending the whole morning here is perfectly fine.
• Three "home corners": an open-air outdoor courtyard; a cozy indoor bar; and a bright second floor with a leafy green balcony nook.
• Signature dish – honeycomb cake (waffle): made from eggs, milk, and flour, baked in a special waffle maker; the surface is dotted with little pockets like a honeycomb, and it's usually served with fresh fruit.
• The menu also has coffee, tea, juice, and yogurt — light options for a leisurely morning.
📍 Alley 50/2 Le Dinh Duong, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang (tucked deep in the alley, so it takes a little effort to find)
🕙 For reference: 7:00–22:00 (information from an older post — please double-check before you go)
💰 Affordable drinks, see the menu on site
If you're a bit tired of crowded "Instagram-worthy cafés," try spending a morning at Cà Nóc: order a cup of coffee, cut yourself a slice of still-warm honeycomb cake, and just sit back as if you were in your own home. Sometimes the most special thing about a café is that it doesn't try to look like a café at all. 🌿
