Tran Thi Ly Bridge: the most beautiful cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam

Translated from Vietnamese
Cầu Trần Thị Lý — tháp A-frame trắng 145m + dây văng hình cánh buồm, sông Hàn + cầu Nguyễn Văn Trỗi vàng bên dưới

Tran Thi Ly Bridge is located 2 km south of Dragon Bridge and was inaugurated in 2013. This is the world's only cable-stayed bridge featuring a 145m high Y-shaped inclined pylon—ranked as the most beautiful cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam. Architecture by WSP Group (UK), featuring a design that simulates sails in the middle of the Han River.

By day, the bridge is an impressive feat of engineering—an ivory-white tower tilting at 12°, with 32 orange-yellow cables radiating like sunbeams. By night, a system of 4,500 LEDs changes through 8 colors (red, blue, purple, yellow...) every 5 minutes, reflecting onto the river surface to create the illusion of two towers.

Best for walking or photography: the west bank (along Bach Dang street), which features a small park. Stand at the foot of the tower and look up — you'll need a wide-angle lens to capture the whole structure. Enjoy the colorful lights from 7 PM to 10 PM. Free, with no bridge crossing fee.

🌉 Connecting the east and west banks of the Han River · 2km south of Dragon Bridge · LED lights change color from 19:00 to 22:00 · Free
