Truong Tien Bridge is the oldest and most romantic symbol of the ancient capital of Hue, construction of which began in 1899 under the reign of King Thanh Thai. The 402-meter-long bridge consists of six steel arch spans designed by the French firm Eiffel, built at the same time as the Long Bien Bridge in Hanoi. Having weathered many historical events — the 1904 storm, wars, being knocked down multiple times — Truong Tien Bridge still stands firm after each restoration, becoming a silent witness of time.
