Today I'm going to let you all in on a super budget-friendly "hideaway spot" that I just discovered on my recent self-guided trip to Da Nang. Who says a beach vacation means staying in a room that costs millions? I stayed at Raon Danang Beach Hotel (in the An Thuong area, right next to My Khe Beach), and at only around 300k - 500k VND per night, it's a great fit for independent travelers on a tight budget.

🛏️ Fully equipped amenities beyond expectations in the budget segmentAt this price, I initially only expected a clean place to sleep, but Raon surprised me with how thoughtful and well-kept everything was:

• Bed: Super thick and soft mattress, with snow-white sheets, blankets, and pillows that smell fresh of fabric softener rather than reeking of bleach like many other budget guesthouses.

• Bathroom: Clean, the hot and cold water works well, and the strong water pressure is super relaxing for washing away stress after a long day out in the sun at the beach.

• Bonus: The room is also fully equipped with a mini fridge, an electric kettle, a hair dryer, and even a super stylish full-length mirror to check and coordinate your outfit before heading out.

🏊‍♂️ There's even an indoor pool to "chill"A huge plus that very few budget hotels can offer: Raon has a cute little indoor pool on the ground floor. Although it's not a spacious infinity pool like those at 5-star resorts, the water here is extremely clean and cool. At noon, when the Da Nang sun is too harsh to hit the beach, just come down here for a dip and snap a few sparkling check-in photos. It's honestly "pretty legit and all that"!

📍 A "golden" location right in the An Thuong Western quarter The hotel is located in An Thuong – one of the liveliest tourist neighborhoods in Da Nang. From here, it only takes me about a 5-minute walk to reach My Khe Beach. Within a 500m radius is a paradise of cafés with lovely views, snack shops, bánh mì bakeries, spas, and laid-back pubs for a relaxing evening. Getting around is super convenient; in the evening you can just stroll around on foot without spending a single cent on taxis.

🛎️ A perfect 10 for the friendliness of the staff What kept me coming back was the lovely people here. The receptionists at Raon are all young people, super enthusiastic and hospitable. Right after we checked in, the staff proactively sent us a list of great restaurants with authentic local flavors (places for bánh xèo, mì Quảng, and seafood that's delicious yet cheap, not those tourist-trap spots). The hotel also offers manual and automatic scooter rentals right in the lobby at a very low price, and the bikes are still new and run super smoothly with plenty of power.

Summary: 9.5/10 points. With such a student-friendly price, you get a cute, clean, beautifully decorated space right by the beach and such lovely service, so there's no reason to say no. Raon is extremely suitable for young people traveling independently, couples who want to optimize their costs, or anyone on a long backpacking trip in Da Nang.
