6 AM flight: what should I use to get to Da Nang airport to avoid the hassle
Da Nang Airport sits right in the middle of the city — it's one of the few international airports where it only takes 10–15 minutes to get there from downtown. That sounds convenient, but it's exactly because of that convenience that many people get careless and almost miss their flight.

Four ways to go, and the real weakness of each:
You can hail taxis along the street. It's quickest if you're in the central area. But around 4-5 in the morning, taxis become quite scarce, and in areas like An Thuong or near the beach, there are days when you might wait fifteen minutes without spotting a single one.
2. Ride-hailing. Prices are transparent, but it also depends on whether drivers are online. Early morning rides tend to get cancelled a lot — and if it's cancelled at 4am, there's no time to find another way.
3. Shared Car / Pre-booked Shuttle. Cheaper than a private car because you share seats with other passengers. In return, the car makes detours to pick up additional passengers, so you need to add extra buffer time. Best for solo travelers with light luggage.
4. Private car booked in advance. More expensive, but it arrives right on time, picks you up at your hotel door, and the driver waits if you come down a few minutes late. If there are 3 or more people, or you have a lot of luggage, splitting the cost per person actually works out cheaper than taking two ride-hailing trips.

A few things you should know:
Leave earlier than you think. The road to the airport is short, but during 7–8 AM and 5–6 PM, the intersection near the airport gets quite congested. Book your ride the night before if your flight is before 7 AM. This takes just two minutes and completely eliminates the risk. • Confirm the all-inclusive price when booking — ask clearly whether the airport entrance fee is included. Please send the hotel address along with your room number — many small hotels are tucked away in alleys, so it's hard for drivers to find them after dark.
