[Greece Independent Travel Day 6] Last Day of the Trip | Athens Attica Department Store + In-Depth Visit to the Archaeological Museum

Trip Overview The Greece trip is coming to an end, and today's schedule is relatively relaxed. After leaving our luggage at the apartment, we each set off for free time. Some group members chose to spend a leisurely day at the apartment, while I decided to visit Attica, the largest department store in Athens, and meet up with everyone in the afternoon to visit the "National Archaeological Museum of Greece" together, putting a perfect historical and cultural finishing touch on the whole trip. 📍Today's route: Attica Department Store → National Archaeological Museum of Greece → Back to the apartment to rest → Fly home Free Travel Starting Point: Visiting Athens' Largest Department Store Attica Although we stayed in an apartment-style accommodation, the management team was incredibly thoughtful and allowed us to leave our luggage in the apartment even after checking out, avoiding the hassle of storage. Taking advantage of this time, I decided to visit Attica Department Store to browse around and experience modern fashion in downtown Athens. 🛍 Attica Department Store Quick Info: 📍 Location: Next to Syntagma Constitution Square in downtown Athens 🕘 Business Hours: Mostly 10:00–21:00 (Closed on Sundays) 🛒 Features: Almost all brands are international luxury brands (such as GUCCI, DIOR, Armani, etc.) Very few local Greek brands, only a scattered handful of counters Floors 1 to 3 are the men's section, with a wide variety of goods — surprising how huge the men's market turned out to be Since the prices were on the high side, I just did window shopping this time and ended up leaving empty-handed, but I gained a much deeper understanding of the Athens department store market.

☕ A short break at the café on B1: Along the way, we had a light meal on the underground first floor, where you can choose from light snacks and coffee — a great spot to rest after a tiring stroll.

Packing, Rest, and Return to the Airport After the tour ended, we returned to the apartment to prepare for the trip home. When the manager didn't show up for quite a while, we managed to reach him using a group member's Greek phone number. This once again made me realize that when traveling abroad, it's best to have at least one SIM card that can make phone calls, just in case. After successfully retrieving our luggage, we rested briefly in the apartment while waiting to be picked up for the airport. ✈ Athens International Airport (ATH) Information: Immigration and security check process was quick The airport facilities are excellent, with Starbucks, restaurants, and duty-free shops available for shopping. For this trip, we first flew to Istanbul, Turkey for a transfer, and then returned to Taiwan. After a smooth departure, this Eastern Mediterranean journey through Greece and Turkey has officially come to an end. Trip Summary and Afterword The entire journey started from Istanbul, Turkey, crossing through Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, and Pamukkale, then island-hopping to Rhodes and Athens in Greece.
