Bốn chiếc iPhone thế hệ mới xếp cạnh nhau — tất cả đều hỗ trợ eSIM

Before buying a Vietnam travel eSIM plan, the first thing you need to do is check whether your phone supports eSIM. Below is the updated 2026 list of popular brands, along with a quick way to check right on your own device.

Apple iPhone — eSIM support: iPhone XS, XS Max, XR (2018) and all newer iPhones: 11 series, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 series. iPhone 14/15/16 models sold in the US support eSIM only (no physical SIM tray). Vietnamese versions still have both nano-SIM + eSIM at the same time.

Samsung Galaxy — eSIM support: Galaxy S20, S21, S22, S23, S24, S25 series (international versions). Note 20, Note 20 Ultra. Galaxy Z Flip 3/4/5/6, Z Fold 3/4/5/6. Galaxy A54, A55 (international version). Not supported: S20 FE Vietnamese version (physical dual SIM only), older Galaxy A series models.

Google Pixel — eSIM support: Pixel 3, 3a and all later models — Pixel 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 8 Pro, 9, 9 Pro. Google Pixel is the most eSIM-friendly brand, easy to set up and stable — recommended for anyone new to eSIM.

Xiaomi & Redmi — eSIM supported: Xiaomi 12T Pro, 13, 13 Pro, 14, 14 Ultra. Redmi Note 13 Pro+. Not supported: Most older Redmi Note models, Poco, Xiaomi Mi 11 and earlier. Please note that Chinese ROM versions may have eSIM locked even if the hardware supports it.

Oppo, Vivo, Realme, Huawei — Supported: Oppo Find X5, X6, X7 series. Vivo X90, X100. Not supported: Most Realme models, and Huawei models other than the Mate 40 Pro and earlier (they lack Google services, so it's difficult to use international eSIM apps like Airalo/Saily).

How to quickly check if your phone has eSIM — iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for "Digital SIM" or "eSIM". Android: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → if you see "Add eSIM", it's supported. Or: Dial *#06# — if 2 IMEIs show up, your phone has eSIM.

Important note: Carrier-locked phones (locked, purchased in the US/Japan/Korea) sometimes cannot use international travel eSIMs — they need to be unlocked first. China-version iPhones do not support eSIM (only physical dual SIM). Before your flight, test eSIM with a small trial plan to make sure your phone is ready.
