Danang review❣️Familiar Korean signboards (ft. durian & mango)
While shampooing and heading back to the hotel, I noticed familiar Korean signs here and there. Since I happened to be craving some fruit right then, a newly opened fruit shop caught my eye, so I went in and took a look. The store was clean and the fruit was nicely displayed in the fridge, so without any hesitation I picked out a pack of durian and a pack of mango, paid, and ate them right there in the store before leaving. And so she got to taste durian for the very first time in her life! They said even one bite gave them a trauma lol I tried it myself and the durian tastes way too bitter😅 I'd never had a durian like this before either, so I was pretty flustered too. I picked one that wasn't dried out on the outside and looked moist, but still a fail!! ㅠㅠ The durian I paid 220,000 dong for turned out to be the bitterest ever, and the one pack of mango does taste sweet at least, but even that Maybe because it was overripe, it was too mushy;; It melts in your mouth lol So in my opinion, my conclusion is that this isn't really a great fruit spot haha Of course! It's possible we just picked the wrong ones and that's why they weren't tasty, but since the store is tucked in the back, I also got the feeling that maybe it's because the pre-cut fruits don't sell quickly enough I guess the price is also a bit much for locals to buy anyway Unless you're a tourist, I don't think you'd easily get to eat it. It felt like a waste to throw away, so I basically ate all of it, but durian is something I really don't think I'll ever forget in my whole life. That whole day I was suffering because it kept coming back up on me. I feel so sorry for making your very first durian experience into a trauma that I haven't been able to bring myself to suggest eating durian again since then. 🤣🤣🤣
