Become One with Nature! Ways to Enjoy Your Stay in Hue (By Ho)

At the hotel, we just want to relax completely. We don't need TV—what we want is wine. Yes, after enjoying the sea, pool, and taking a stroll through the gardens, we'll have wine on the spacious balcony. We both love wine, so we bring our own. In Vietnam's local areas, wine isn't sold anywhere... and there are no convenience stores or general stores nearby either. There are just scattered shops along the road about five minutes away by bike. Since it's safer to bring our own, the first thing we do when we arrive in our room is chill the wine. Then we unpack our suitcases.

This is the lodge we stayed in this time. It has three rooms separated by doors, but they're connected, so families and friends can use it together. We took the left side, which is the room closest to the ocean. The simple wooden and plaster construction is a characteristic feature of Hue architecture, isn't it? My husband Sei is now in full relaxation mode.

I called the front desk and I'm ordering wine glasses. I'm steadily preparing for the enjoyable hotel life I'm looking forward to.

The wooden plank ceiling, with lighting also covered in wood material, casts a soft, gentle light. The floor features large beige tiles that feel wonderful on bare feet. It seems the furniture could benefit from being repositioned as well... By arranging the desk and sofa to face the ocean directly, we can create a truly welcoming, relaxing space.

This is the finished form, isn't it? Well, the breeze flows through, and there's the sea right in front of you, and the sound of the waves is so gentle on the ears. The hotel staff who care for the garden greet you with warm smiles and maintain just the right distance. In their traditional áo dài, they display such beautiful grace and bearing.

The grounds are quite spacious, so it looks like there's a lot of daily upkeep with cleaning and garden maintenance. Watering the plants, pruning, carrying luggage to the rooms, and with a stage here, depending on events there's setup work too. It seems like it really comes alive with the groups staying here and various guests.

Since there are many rooms available, you can choose a quiet one. When checking the room interior, the amenity items are well-stocked. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided. Razors, combs, shower caps, toothbrushes—everything is there. The bathroom is also spacious and easy to use! However, cotton and cotton swabs are not available. (I guess it's common for local hotels not to have them.) But what impressed me with their attention to detail are the items related to the room itself. Starting with the door.

A big crab—boom! Cute wooden carvings? Beautiful craftsmanship right on the door. And then... a large key that you carry around with you and don't hand over. No room card here. It's a genuine old-fashioned key!

It's stuck to a wooden fish carving and it's so big that you definitely won't drop it! But it definitely takes up space in bags and pockets - talk about presence! And the employee notices are made from wooden items too.

Cleaning OK! (Top) Please leave it alone for now! (Bottom) The wooden mold's expression is the sign. It's such a subtle expression that you can't see it unless you get close... It's only a 1-minute walk to the fun beach. It's right in front of you~

And there's a pool right behind the room too. Spacious, deep, and not crowded... you can really relax!

The pool features a small shallow pool for children and a large deep pool for adults that reaches up to 2 meters at its deepest point. You can splash around and enjoy diving to your heart's content. While there's no pool bar on-site, after a refreshing swim, you can take a leisurely walk along the beach or through the garden.

In the spacious entrance, there's a pleasant breeze, and it's nice to appreciate the furniture as well. Looking at the designs carved into the pillars is also interesting.
