Journey to Hoàng Su Phì (To the Rice Terraces of Vietnam) 2 — Rice Terrace Workation, Written by Sei
(Not photoshopped lol This is real lol)

Wanting to experience a workation myself, I flew from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi, then took a 6-hour overnight bus from Hanoi toward the mountains

From there, another 10 hours by motorbike,

Riding on and on along mountain roads by motorbike

24 hours after setting off, we finally reached a bungalow in an area called Hoang Su Phi, midway between Ha Giang and Sapa

This is a Red Dao village with stunningly beautiful rice terraces. Today, a workation gazing at the terraces from the morning

Note (written by Ho) (I'm the type who taps away on a laptop inside the hut.) This bungalow has created photo-worthy spots lol Vietnamese people have a bold sense of playfulness, so they build stairs against a terraced-field backdrop. In Japan it'd be dangerous! Not safe enough!! and a storm of angry shouts—but here they build it without a fuss. If it looks about to break, they repair it. Climb carefully... that's the vibe. And so... you get these photos that look almost too good to be true

During a break from work, without even saying "I'll just climb up for a sec," my husband nimbly climbed up lol I couldn't do it, sweat. Migration Life Ranking
