Khuê Trung Eco Park – Fishing and a countryside day out on 5 hectares inside Da Nang
1/5
You don’t need to drive out of the city to sit by a pond with a fishing rod and forget the traffic exists. Khuê Trung Eco Park is that escape, right inside Da Nang.
The grounds sit on Thăng Long street in Cẩm Lệ, along the Cẩm Lệ river — about five hectares holding five fish ponds, vegetable gardens, a fruit orchard and a restaurant. It’s laid out like a southern Vietnamese farmstead: shade trees, thatched huts at the water’s edge, hammocks slung underneath. Fishing is what most people come for. The ponds are stocked with carp, catfish and snakehead; you rent a bamboo rod and bait for very little, and whatever you land goes straight to the kitchen. That kitchen knows its country cooking: snakehead hotpot, mắm hotpot, crispy fried catfish, clay-pot chicken, braised frog, grilled snakehead, duck with lemongrass and chilli. Bigger groups can take a whole lakeside hut for the afternoon, or camp, grill, pedal a duck boat and cycle the grounds.
✨ Reasons why you should visit:
🎣 Fish the five on-site ponds — the kitchen cooks whatever you catch.
🍲 Proper country cooking: snakehead hotpot, mắm hotpot, fried catfish, clay-pot chicken, grilled snakehead.
🏕️ Camping, BBQ, duck boats and cycling — well suited to team building and large groups.
🌿 Five hectares of riverside countryside, shady and quiet — it doesn’t feel like a city at all.
