Laundry in Da Nang when you live here: how shops price it and what to check
On a two-week holiday you hand over a bag and don’t think about it. Living here, laundry becomes a weekly line item — and the pricing is less uniform than it looks. Two shops a few streets apart can charge the same number for completely different things.
Figures below come from the listings of 10 Da Nang shops on vietSpots, checked on 03/11/2026. These are prices the shops themselves publish on the platform, not a market survey.
Three ways shops charge you
By the kilo is the common one, and the standard wash-dry-fold spread is wider than you’d expect. Laundry The Sun on Hoàng Diệu lists everyday clothes at 15,000₫/kg; Sammy Laundry on Hoài Thanh is also 15,000₫/kg for wash-and-dry, and drops to 12,000₫/kg if you only need one or the other. LAUNDRY TIN TIN near Mỹ Khê lists 20,000₫/kg, and Tiệm giặt ủi Mia Mia and Gia Hy Laundry both list 25,000₫.
By weight bracket catches people out. Cửa Hàng Giặt Ủi on 2 Tháng 9 charges a flat 20,000₫ for 0–1.5kg and 25,000₫ up to 2kg, then switches to 15,000₫/kg beyond that. Kim Chi in Ngũ Hành Sơn is flat 100,000₫ for 0–3.5kg, then 15,000₫/kg. If you do small loads often, brackets cost you badly; if you save up a full week, they’re the cheapest option on this page.
Minimum orders sit underneath both. The Sun’s minimum is 30,000₫, Sammy’s is 50,000₫, and Laundry Nếp sets 70,000₫ — the same shop charges a flat 70,000₫ for anything under 2kg. Washing twice a week in small batches is how a cheap per-kilo rate quietly becomes an expensive month.
Speed costs extra, and it’s priced openly
Standard turnaround is a few hours — Sammy lists five. From there you pay up: Laundry Nếp and Vy Trần both list 35,000₫ for wash-dry-fold in one hour, 40,000₫ for a four-hour same-day return, and 45,000₫ for an overnight run. The Sun lists a two-hour express at 30,000₫, TIN TIN a four-hour at 30,000₫, and Nana Express a four-hour premium at 40,000₫.
Pickup and delivery changes the maths
This is the part that matters most if you’re working all day. Sammy delivers free on orders from 200,000₫; Kim Chi from 100,000₫. Below the threshold you’re paying, or walking — so it’s often cheaper to batch a fortnight than to send two small loads.
The things you’ll only need once you live here
🛏️ Bedding — your apartment duvet and pillows eventually need doing. Sammy lists blankets, quilts and sheets at 20,000₫/kg, puffer duvets and toppers at 30,000₫, pillow inners 25,000–30,000₫ each. The Sun lists blankets up to 1.5kg at 30,000₫ and feather duvets at 35,000₫. 🪟 Curtains — The Sun lists small curtains at 18,000₫ and large at 20,000₫; Sammy lists them at 25,000₫. 👟 Shoes — the widest spread of anything here: 35,000₫ a pair at Sammy, 50,000₫ at Mia Mia, 80,000₫ at TIN TIN and Kim Chi, 100,000₫ at Nana Express. Worth checking before you hand over trainers. 👔 Suits and jackets — The Sun lists dry-cleaned suits at 80,000₫; Sammy lists a full suit at 90,000₫ and a jacket or wool coat at 50,000₫. 🪖 Helmet — if you rented a motorbike, The Sun will clean the helmet for 45,000₫. 🧴 Stain removal is always separate: 30,000₫ at Mia Mia, 40,000₫ at Nếp, 50,000₫ at Sammy.
Before you hand over the bag
⚖️ Ask whether the price is per kilo or a bracket, and where the bracket ends 💸 Check the minimum order against how much you actually wash in a week 🚚 Ask the free-delivery threshold before you decide how often to send ⏱️ Confirm the standard turnaround, not just the express one 🧦 Count what you’re handing over — and keep anything delicate out of a per-kilo load
