Nhà Của Lam - Bia Chill: a pub that feels like a garden café

The first time I followed Google Maps to 55A Luong The Vinh, I almost walked right past it — because this place, hidden behind a row of trees, doesn't look like a drinking spot at all. Stepping in, I was stunned: warm yellow oil lamps, a few soft tunes, rattan tables and chairs set in the middle of a garden courtyard… I thought it was a garden café, but it turned out to be a casual drinking spot.

And that's also exactly what I like the most. In the middle of Da Nang, finding a beer place that isn't noisy, without blaring music, where you can sit and talk with friends and still hear each other clearly — that's rare. The air here is light, nostalgic in a way, perfect for those who love quiet moments or just want to catch their breath after a long day. The menu is surprisingly thick and varied: from snack/drinking dishes, salads, pork, beef, to hot pot, seafood, and even liquor and beer. Dishes came out pretty fast. We tried the shredded tofu floss — crispy outside, soft inside, really tasty — and the tuna salad was also fresh and flavorful (just the portion was a bit much, two people couldn't finish it). Overall the food is delicious and suits Vietnamese taste, and the price is reasonable: around 100–200k per person is enough for a comfortable, relaxed meal. Honestly speaking, the place isn't without its downsides. Sitting in the garden in the evening, there are a bit of mosquitoes, and the lighting leans toward darker tones, so those who prefer bright lighting might not be used to it. When it's crowded, the service is sometimes a bit slow. But with this price and vibe, I find it completely acceptable. Another plus point: the shop now has a 2nd branch — Lam Suy, 25–27 Bình Minh 1, giving you another option for a change of scenery. In short, if you're looking for a drinking spot that's really about chilling out — sitting for hours, talking a lot, with little noise — Nhà Của Lam is worth a visit.
