https://maps.app.goo.gl/W2UHMWa45DxbjUS67 ⏰️ Business Hours Open 24 hours every day! Since I couldn't grab a bite at the Radisson Hotel lounge, I had some time to kill before my massage, so I went out to walk near the hotel, and I happily spotted a familiar Porong-hoi. But since I always go to the same place, this time I decided to try somewhere new. I was sitting at a local restaurant diagonally across from Porong Hoi, and when I checked the menu, wouldn't you know it—there it was, the claypot rice noodle soup I'd been longing for! Haha, without any hesitation I ordered one claypot rice noodle soup, one grilled/steamed bread, and two cans of Huda beer, all done! Since it's a local place the food is cheap—the total comes to 170,000 dong. That's roughly around 9,500 won, so it really is cheap, right? Haha.

The hot stone pot rice noodle soup comes with both cooked and raw meat. You cook the raw meat shabu-shabu style in the bubbling hot stone pot broth, and the meat turns out so tender and delicious. This place uniquely had the staff crack a raw egg into the pot for me — if you want to enjoy the clean, clear taste of the broth, I think it's better not to add the egg. Since it was my first time there, I just ate it as it was, and honestly the flavor wasn't quite what I expected, so it felt a bit strange 😅 I threw in all sorts of seasonings and a ton of pepper, and oddly enough it tasted so addictive that I ended up eating it all lol. The pot bread (sotppang) had a thinner sauce than the poronghoi, so it wasn't that great, and I was disappointed the bread wasn't warm. Still, the beer came out nice and cold, so refreshingly cool without even needing ice, kya~🍻 While we were chatting about this and that as we ate, right in front of us there was a Korean family... It looked like they'd come in to eat, but my nosy habit kicked in again, so I used a bit of ventriloquism to tell them to go to another restaurant, lol lol lol. Thankfully they got the hint and drifted away, far, far off into the distance 🤣🤣🤣. It's not really my kind of go-to spot, but this place seems famous for its fried rice — most of the customers were eating fried rice. Still, if you'd like to try a somewhat special take on rice noodle soup, I'd recommend giving this place a try ^^
