🏨 Shilla Monogram "Mango Bingsu

A fam tour I joined as an acquaintance! Shilla Monogram, April 12–15, 2026. When you think of Shilla, it's the mango bingsu, right? Haha. This fam tour included a mango bingsu coupon, so I was totally looking forward to it. You know how pricey mango bingsu is at the Shilla in Korea, right? T.T So with high expectations, on the afternoon of day 3, I placed an order at the 1st floor lobby lounge. But wait? The mango bingsu I imagined... No, it was a bit disappointing, sigh. The mango was tasty, but even the peel part was used thinly, so it had a somewhat tough texture, and there was way too much ice, and honestly the visual appearance wasn't great either... But of course there was mango inside too.

Coincidentally, at dinner BBQ time I got to meet the head chef, and I was so glad to find out he was Korean^^ He said he used to work at a famous hotel abroad. He asked how the food was, so I carefully mentioned the mango bingsu, and he listened closely and said he'd fix it right away the next day... The very next day he made two samples for us.

Both had big, generously piled mango on top, but I mentioned that the moderately large side looked fuller and prettier compared to the overly large one, and they applied it right away — it turned out so much more elegant and pretty that I really felt glad I'd said something 🫡

The Executive Chef listened so carefully to what the guests had to say, and he really took my opinions to heart! (Such a wonderful person — young, with a bright smile.) He truly was an amazing leader of Shilla Monogram 👍
