For Lunar New Year, I went down to my in-laws' house and finished preparing the food, then took my mother-in-law out for a little stroll~ Father-in-law was busy brewing herbal medicine, worrying about his children's health, so it was just the three of us — my mother-in-law, a friend, and me — who went out. We stopped by a newly opened hanok cafe near Gwanghallu, had a cup of tea, chatted away cozily, and spent some time resting. Since it's the holiday season, performance preparations were also in full swing. You can even rent hanbok here, so a lot of people come just to take photos, but we decided to just look around haha. Gwanghallu is a place I stop by every time I visit my in-laws, but it's always nice because it keeps feeling fresh with more things to see each time. This time we also visited a newly opened cafe called Mongchunwon, and it was pretty spacious with a nice atmosphere too. We ordered three signature drinks along with some chicken-egg bread and a few other kinds of bread to try. Since ssanghwa tea is a fusion-style drink, it seemed a bit too sweet for my mother-in-law's taste. The chicken egg bread had a chewy outside and was filled with soft egg inside, so I really enjoyed eating it. The atmosphere on the second floor was so cozy and nice that it really felt like stepping into a traditional guest room! We brought two drinks up there and took some photos - this was when we went on a trip to Danang with my parents-in-law. I take photos every single moment, so now my mother-in-law just goes along with it and jokes around, asking whether I got pretty shots — she's such a fun, cheerful mother-in-law 😁. I showed her the pretty photos I'd taken, and while our conversation was in full bloom, she said there was another place she needed to stop by, so we got up and headed out haha. Namwon, where there are more and more places to visit — even though it's my in-laws' hometown, every time I go it feels like a fresh, new experience. This is so nice ^^
