Lamisil cream, an athlete's foot treatment! On this trip, I ended up buying it as a favor for an acquaintance. There are ointments of a similar type for athlete's foot sold around, but there was only one place selling actual Lamisil products. I think I went into pretty much every pharmacy around Han Market, haha. My main goal was buying the Lamisil cream, but since I was going around anyway, I figured it'd be a good chance to compare prices too, so it worked out well! As for the Lamisil cream, They say it contains terbinafine hydrochloride, so it's used to treat fungal skin infections like athlete's foot and ringworm. Compared to regular athlete's foot ointments, Lamisil is a lot more expensive. The large 15g size is 185,000 dong. A similar product, Canesten cream, is 55,000 dong — so there's more than a 2x difference^^ Still, it's so popular that it's out of stock and you can't even buy it. The small size of Lamisil cream couldn't be found at all, and other pharmacies didn't even carry the product itself, so they only recommended a Vietnamese athlete's foot ointment. The pharmacy where I bought Lamisil cream seemed to generally sell it a bit cheaper. Bepanthen ointment was also about 5,000 dong cheaper than other pharmacies. It was the pharmacy that had the widest stock of the medicines most people tend to buy. I used to mainly go to the pharmacy in front of Hansijang market every time, but that place seemed to be the most expensive and didn't have many products, so I've decided to settle on this one for my pharmacy shopping from now on.
