Hello~ Golden Nut is really hot in Da Nang these days! I tried it myself and I get why it's so popular. I think most people usually buy it from Hoi An, Han Market, or ICT delivery, but I wanted to let you know about a place where you can buy it more conveniently and cheaply. It's the cashew nut shop at Son Tra Night Market!

After looking into it, it turns out there are both fake and genuine Golden Nuts out there. The genuine one has a specific manufacturer name, 'Tien Bao,' printed on it, and the original packaging includes official certifications such as a barcode (8936060990688), detailed nutritional information labeling, and an ISO certification mark. There's also a formal product category name written on it: 'BÁNH HẠT DINH DƯỠNG' (nutritional biscuit). On the other hand, they say that products with only a generic brand name like 'Baking life' and a sticker applied over it could possibly be counterfeit. However, I haven't verified this myself, so please take it just as a reference.

As far as I know, the price is 40,000 dong at all three places — Hoi An, Han Market, and ICT. The cashew nut shop at Son Tra Night Market said, based on our call/message on 2025.11.01, it's 40,000 dong for A grade and 38,000 dong for B grade. It seems like they've recently brought in sticker products too, since a lot of Korean customers have been looking for them. Personally, I don't think there's much of a taste difference between the 38,000 dong and 40,000 dong ones ^^

And recently I bought this banana-flavored Cherish snack! It's totally new, and it's really something amazing. I bought 400g for 36,000 dong, and it was so delicious that I asked the owner to sell it. Banana-flavored Cherish 400g = 27,000 dong, 800g = 55,000 dong. It's not sold in supermarkets, so it might feel a bit pricey, but if you buy a lot of different things, they'll throw in extras and you can even haggle a bit, so do try chatting with them ^^

They say cashew nut prices have gone up, so it's now 210,000 VND per kg (available for purchase in 500g units). That's a 10,000 VND increase from before, but they said they'll make sure to include top-grade cashews and macadamias so you won't feel shortchanged on the weight, so if you like nuts, it might be nice to buy some together.

The owner of the Son Tra Night Market has always looked after me with great products ever since my first trip to Da Nang two years ago, so I make a point of stopping by there every time I travel.
