Nha Trang is located in southern Vietnam and is a famous seaside resort destination, renowned for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, fine sandy beaches, and abundant water activities. It has been listed as one of the 29 most beautiful beaches in the world and is also known as the "Maldives of the East." On this 4-day Nha Trang tour, we will deeply explore this beautiful coastal city, experience a mud bath, visit the famous Vinpearl Resort, and taste the local seafood delicacies. Nha Trang Transportation and Accommodation Area Selection

Transportation: There are currently no direct flights from the country to Nha Trang; you can transfer through Ho Chi Minh City Airport. Nha Trang's airport (Cam Ranh International Airport) is about a 40-minute drive from the city center, and you can take a taxi or book a shuttle to your hotel. Accommodation area: Along the beach (near Tran Phu Beach): The most popular area among tourists, with many hotels offering unbeatable sea views, such as InterContinental Nha Trang. Downtown: The heart of Nha Trang residents' daily life, with diverse price options suitable for budget-conscious travelers. Vinpearl Island: A top-tier resort experience with an exclusive beach and luxurious facilities — Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang is highly recommended. Suggested itinerary (4 days) Day 1: Arrival, stroll along the beach, and soak in Nha Trang's relaxed atmosphere. It was already late when we arrived in Nha Trang, so we first found a bar near the hotel for dinner, and afterward took a walk on the beach nearby, soaking in the city's relaxed atmosphere. I have to say the sand in Nha Trang is really fine and soft — walking on it felt so comfortable.

Day 2: Po Nagar Cham Towers, Mud Bath, then check in at Vinpearl Resort Po Nagar Cham Towers Po Nagar is a temple of the ancient Champa Kingdom. Champa was an ancient kingdom established by the Cham people in central Vietnam, and its main remaining sites in Vietnam are located at My Son Sanctuary and in Nha Trang. After the 17th century, the Vietnamese occupied Champa, seized Po Nagar Towers, and renamed it the Thien Y A Na Temple. This is because the Vietnamese referred to Yang Po Nagar as Thien Y A Na, the Holy Mother. The Cham ruins in Nha Trang are much smaller in scale compared to My Son Sanctuary, and it's an open-air space. Because it sits on high ground, the view is quite nice.

Thap Ba Mud Springs Nha Trang is famous for mud baths, mainly with two options: Thap Ba Hot Spring Center: The oldest and most established mud bath center locally, affordable and offering an authentic experience. I-Resort: A more upscale option with a more comfortable environment, also offering private mud bath pools. This time we chose Thap Ba Hot Spring Center, to enjoy the full mud bath and mineral spring hydrotherapy experience: Mud Bath: Soak in a warm mud pool with thick, dense mud that is said to have skin-beautifying and blood circulation-boosting effects. It feels a bit slippery when you first get in, but once you get used to it, it's incredibly relaxing. Mineral Water Pool: After rinsing off the mud, soak in the hot spring pool and enjoy the warm flowing water — extremely comfortable. Facility Experience: Besides the mud bath, there is also a swimming pool and a waterfall massage pool here, allowing you to completely relax your body and mind. Helpful Reminder: Remember to bring a swimsuit, and be sure to store valuables in a locker to avoid having to go back and forth repeatedly.

Vinpearl Resort on Pearl Island Vinpearl is Nha Trang's most famous resort destination. This island is home to luxury hotels, a water park, a large amusement park, a zoo, and even a golf course. Cable Car Experience: Take the world's longest over-sea cable car from downtown Nha Trang to Pearl Island, enjoying stunning sea views along the way. Water Park and Rides: The water slides here are incredibly thrilling, and there's also a lazy river for relaxed floating — perfect fun for families or friends. Pearl Island Beach: Fewer crowds, fine sand, and clear water make it perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view where the sea meets the sky. Dining and Rest Areas: The island offers a variety of restaurants to choose from, but prices tend to be high, so it's recommended to bring your own snacks or water in advance. Evening Light Show: At night, the island puts on a spectacular water-and-light show, with lights synchronized to music creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Exploring the City at Night Near Agarwood Tower: There are many street vendors, so you can try some Vietnamese snacks. Exploring the Night Market: Although we didn't choose to eat at the night market, we did stroll around the stalls and soak in the local atmosphere. Relaxing Massage: Before wrapping up the trip, we found a massage shop to relieve our travel fatigue. Drinks at a Beach Bar: Finally, we found a bar by the beach for a drink and some relaxation, enjoying Nha Trang's night breeze and music.

Day 4: Visit Nha Trang Cathedral and Long Son Pagoda, then return home Nha Trang Cathedral: A Gothic-style stone building where the spire and bell tower design really stand out. The interior is decorated with stained glass, and when sunlight streams in, the colors become dazzling and the atmosphere feels truly sacred.

Long Son Pagoda: This temple is famous for its huge white Buddha statue. Once you climb up to the pagoda, you can overlook the entire Nha Trang city, and it's especially great for photos during early morning and sunset.

Nha Trang Travel Tips Best time to visit: Nha Trang enjoys warm weather all year round, with average temperatures ranging from a low of 22°C to a high of about 32°C. The best months to visit are January through August, when it's not too hot and humid, rainfall is low, and the waves aren't too rough, making it great for water activities. Before you go: Sun protection items (sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat) are a must to avoid sunburn. Currency exchange: You can exchange for Vietnamese Dong (VND) in Ho Chi Minh City beforehand, or exchange it locally at jewelry shops, though the exchange rate there is usually less favorable. Conclusion Nha Trang's beach is among the top three beaches I've ever visited. What sets it apart from Phu Quoc is that the prices here are more in line with local Vietnamese standards, and besides the beach, it also combines mud baths and Cham ruins. Before the pandemic, Nha Trang was actually a favorite vacation spot for Russians, with direct flights from Russia — back then I ran into a lot of Russian aunties there too (haha). If you get the chance, you really should plan a trip to Nha Trang, the third-place winner in Vietnamese people's honeymoon destination poll.
