🇰🇷 Namwon Ssanghwa Tea Hotspot, Tteul Arae Hanok Café

You know I went to the Chunhyang Festival during this year's May holidays, right? ^^ Let me introduce you to the hanok cafe "Ttteularae" in Namwon that I visited then. I've been longing for this place ever since I first visited a few years ago.... It's all because of the ssanghwa tea~~ It felt like drinking a very strong dose of herbal medicine. My other family members wave their hands and refuse it, but I really, really love that taste, hehehe.

There's nothing special about the entrance. Once you go inside, you'll see a cozy garden and a traditional Korean house (hanok).

This is the view facing the entrance~~ The azaleas are blooming beautifully. From the photo below, you can see the interior~ Since it's not a large café, there aren't that many seats. It's arranged with two types of seating: dining tables and low floor tables. It's a great place to rest your tired body after watching the Chunhyang Festival~~

Of course, I had to go with Ssanghwa tea!! I called ahead to ask about it and went right when they opened, haha. When the owner realized I was a repeat customer, he said he'd make it extra delicious for me, haha.

So this is the result we came up with!! Full of ssanghwa tea toppings!! It used to be packed with lots of ingredients inside too ~~ The snacks on the side come included as a basic extra ~~ Successfully cleared the ssanghwa tea again this time!! It was such a rewarding return visit~~

By the way, we also run a guesthouse alongside this. You can think of it as similar to a homestay-style lodging, haha. It's very well located, close to the famous spots in Namwon. Please keep this in mind if you're looking for accommodation~~^^

So the owner's house is here too haha. I went in the morning for the 'opening run,' and she was all dolled up, so I asked for her permission and took a photo ^^. During the Chunhyang Festival, each village has a parade, and she said she takes part in it haha. She looked so lovely in her hanbok. And that's my #1 favorite ssanghwa-tea spot I want to visit again — Tteularae Hanok Cafe. If you visit Namwon, be sure to try a cup of ssanghwa tea~~
