A 10-Day Italy Group Tour Guide | Notes and Shopping Tips from Visiting Rome, Venice, Florence, and Milan

To me, Italy is a temple of art and history. This ten-day group tour started in Milan in northern Italy, passing through the watery romance of Venice, the Renaissance atmosphere of Florence, and the marvelous Leaning Tower of Pisa, all the way south to Rome and the Vatican, before finally returning to Milan to feel the pulse of Italian fashion. Even though it was a group tour, I still did a lot of homework as if planning an independent trip — researching restaurants to try on our own and places to explore during free time. This travel journal will share our actual itinerary, unexpected incidents, and little episodes along the way. It's perfect as an overview of our Italy series and a summary of our group tour experience! ✈️ An accident on the plane and a lost phone—the trip ran into trouble before it even really began. Everything was fine before boarding, but 10 hours into the flight, a light tap on my shoulder woke me up. It turned out that Bubble had fainted on the way to the restroom, and her chin was torn open and bleeding! The flight attendants handled it so professionally, and thankfully there happened to be two nurses on board who helped bandage the wound. Even more dramatic, after we landed I lost my phone too—luckily I ran into a handsome police officer at the Italian airport who helped me get it back. We had just landed when two unexpected things happened, one after another. I quietly prayed in my heart that the rest of the trip would go smoothly and safely! 📌 Itinerary Overview | Italy 10-Day 9-Night Group Tour Route This time we chose Lion Travel's 10-day Italy tour (tour fee 85,500) Day 1: Taiwan → Italy EVA Air direct flight to Milan Malpensa Airport. Day 2: Lake Como × Verona → Venice In the morning, we headed to "Lake Como" in the northern Italian lake district for a boat ride, taking in the peaceful scenery of the small lakeside town.In the afternoon, I visited Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, and arrived in Venice in the evening.

Day 3: A Day Trip to Venice Explore the water city of Venice, visit St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace, and enjoy the romance and history of this canal city.

Flew back to Taiwan from Milan Airport, ending the ten-day trip. ✨ Thoughts on the Italy group tour I think Lion Travel's arrangement of one day for long drives to sightseeing spots and one day mainly strolling around major cities was pretty good. Of course, this whole itinerary was just about hitting the highlights — if you want to really immerse yourself, you'd still need to travel independently.I'm so glad I chose Italy for my first trip to Europe — not only were there several World Heritage Sites to see (the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Milan Cathedral), but Italy itself was also great for shopping (it wasn't until I went that I realized just how many luxury brands actually originated in Italy).
