Italy 10-Day Group Tour Guide | Impressions from Rome, Venice, Florence, and Milan, Plus Shopping Tips

To me, Italy is a sanctuary of art and history. This 10-day group tour began in Milan in Northern Italy, traveling through the watery charm of Venice, the Renaissance atmosphere of Florence, the wonder of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, all the way to Rome and the Vatican in the south, and finally returning to Milan to experience the pulse of Italian fashion. Although it was a group tour, I still did plenty of research as if I were traveling independently, looking into restaurants for self-dining and places to visit during free time. This travelogue will share our actual itinerary, unexpected events, and little anecdotes from the trip—perfect as an overview and personal reflection of our Italy series! ✈️ Unexpected trouble on the plane, and I even lost my phone—mishaps started before the journey even began! Everything was fine before boarding, but ten hours into the flight, a gentle tap on my shoulder woke me up. My daughter had fainted on the way to the restroom with a gashed chin that was bleeding! Thankfully, the flight attendants handled it professionally, and luckily there were two nurses on board who helped with bandaging. To make things more dramatic, I lost my phone after getting off the plane—but fortunately, I ran into a handsome Italian airport police officer who helped me find it! We had just landed when two accidents happened right away — I secretly prayed that the rest of the trip would go smoothly and safely! 📌 Itinerary Overview | Italy 10-Day 9-Night Group Tour Route This time we chose Lion Travel's 10-day Italy group tour (tour fee 85,500) Day 1: Taiwan → Italy EVA Air direct flight to Milan Malpensa Airport. Of course, this whole trip was really just about hitting the highlights — if you want to experience things more deeply, you'd still need to travel independently.I'm so glad I chose Italy for my first European trip! Not only are there several world-class heritage sites to explore (the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, the Florence Cathedral, and Milan Cathedral), but Italy itself is also fantastic for shopping (I only discovered after visiting that so many luxury brands actually originate from Italy). In a few years, I plan to return for another self-guided adventure, and by then I'll definitely be wearing a leather jacket from Florence! 📌 Recommended Further Reading Planning an exciting and seamless European vacation?
