A 10-Day Group Tour Guide to Italy | Impressions and Shopping Tips from Rome, Venice, Florence, and Milan

For me, Italy is a temple of art and history. This 10-day group tour started in Milan in northern Italy, passed through the watery romance of Venice, the Renaissance atmosphere of Florence, the wondrous sight of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, then went south to Rome and the Vatican, before finally returning to Milan to feel the pulse of Italian fashion. Although it was a group tour, I still did a lot of independent-travel homework, researching restaurants for meals on our own and places to go during free time. This travel journal will share our actual itinerary, unexpected incidents, and little episodes along the way — perfect as an overview and takeaway for the Italy series! ✈️ An accident on the plane and a lost phone too — the trip ran into trouble before it even really began. Everything was fine before boarding, but 10 hours into the flight, a light tap woke me up. Bubbles had actually fainted on her way to the restroom, and her chin was torn open and bleeding! The flight attendants handled it professionally, and thankfully there happened to be two nurses on board who helped bandage the wound. Even more dramatic — after we got off the plane, I lost my phone too. Luckily I ran into a handsome police officer at the Italian airport, who helped me get it back safely. We had just landed when two accidents happened, and I secretly prayed that the rest of the trip would go smoothly and safely! 📌 Itinerary Overview | Italy 10-Day 9-Night Group Tour Route This time we chose Lion Travel's 10-day Italy tour (tour fee 85,500) Day 1: Taiwan → Italy EVA Air direct flight to Milan Malpensa Airport. Day 2: Lake Como × Verona → Venice In the morning, head to Lake Como in the northern Italian lake district for a boat ride, taking in the tranquil small-town scenery.In the afternoon, I visited Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, and arrived in Venice in the evening.

Day 3: One-Day Venice Tour The water city of Venice — visit St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace, and enjoy the romance and history of this canal city.

Lion Travel Italy 10-Day Trip Diary - Milan Day 9-10: Return to Taiwan Flying back to Taiwan from Milan Airport, wrapping up the ten-day trip. ✨ Thoughts on the Italy Group Tour I think Lion Travel's arrangement of one day for scenic drives and one day mainly for exploring major cities was pretty good. Of course, this whole itinerary was just about hitting the highlights - if you want to really immerse yourself, you'd still need to travel independently.I was so happy that I chose Italy for my first trip to Europe. Not only were there several World Cultural Heritage sites to see (the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Roman Colosseum, St. Peter's Basilica, Florence Cathedral, and Milan Cathedral), but Italy itself was also great for shopping (it was only after going that I realized so many luxury brands originated from Italy).
