Danang review ✈️ A great-vibe genuine café in Hoi An ☕️

From 08/30 to 09/04, 2025, we went on a trip together ✈️ The first place we headed to on the motorbike was a real (authentic) café. We went there for the opening rush on our last trip and loved it so much that this time we visited in the evening. Since it was a weekend plus a public holiday, they added a surcharge of 20,000 VND per person for using the venue, but since it was somewhere we really wanted to go, it was totally fine. That day they also happened to have a live performance going on. I sat in a spot I liked, waiting for my drink and listening to the music, but I didn't recognize a single song 😅 I kept hoping that if I stayed long enough they'd play at least one song I knew, but they played only Vietnamese songs the whole time, so I couldn't sit there long and left lol. Looking around, my friend and I were the only foreigners... everyone else was Vietnamese;; Since it was a national holiday, people seemed to have come to Hoi An from other regions too I heard a lot of people come to visit here. Personally, for a genuine café, I found mornings much better than evenings — it's quiet, you can take pictures comfortably, and you can sit anywhere you like and stay as long as you want, which makes you want to linger. But in the evening, the place gets really chaotic. There are a lot of people bringing in takeout food from who knows where, and a lot of smokers too, so it was pretty tough for me and my husband/wife 😭 I'd like to take some pictures at a pretty spot, but Vietnamese people are so serious about photos that it takes forever for my turn to come...😤 So I've decided I'm done going to "real cafes" for now. Real cafes... 👋
