Even though I've been to Da Nang many times, I never did pearl shopping at Han Market. While drinking beer at Hoi An Salt Pub, I felt bad for the grandmother walking around trying to sell things, so I ended up buying a pearl bracelet from her, that's about it. Haha. I had no intention of buying pearls, but my friend said she wanted to buy some, so I went along to look, and they were so pretty that I made an impulse purchase. At first I went to stall No. 21 at Han Market, but maybe because I went too early, it wasn't open... While looking around here and there, I first bought a necklace and bracelet at Hansijang stall #17. The next day, I went back to Hansijang because I had another errand there, and when I looked at stall #21, there were even more pretty things. Pink pearls, gray pearls, and depending on whether the chain was gold or silver, the look changed and became even more stylish. The flat pearls were so pretty! I ended up impulse buying again... haha The one with pearls dotted between the necklace chain At stall No. 17 the spacing was way too long, but at No. 21 there was one with a shorter interval. Necklaces run between 180,000 and 350,000 dong. For the pretty ones, they seem to always ask for 350,000 dong no matter what. Bracelets and earrings seem to be between 150,000 and 200,000 dong. As for bargaining, the items that let you haggle down a lot seem to be the older, less popular styles, while the more stylish, pretty-looking ones get priced higher. They really didn't discount the bangle bracelet and the pearl necklace rattle version well. I haggled and haggled over a total of 5 items, but in the end they went into "do whatever you want, I'm not budging" mode and wouldn't give any more discount lol. Grand total came to 800,000 dong.^^
