❣️(Travel) A stroll to the old snack bar of memories~

This is a rice cake (tteokbokki) restaurant in Siheung-dong, Geumcheon-gu, Seoul with a 50-year tradition~ I graduated elementary, middle, and high school around this neighborhood, and it's already been 30 years since I started coming to this tteokbokki place. Many things have changed over those 30 years, but even when I visit after a long while, the owner is still there holding down the shop, so maybe that's why the taste hasn't changed at all. When I was young it was so delicious that I used to come often, These days, I go there sometimes just to enjoy that nostalgic taste haha. The price has gone up quite a bit over the years, but since it's just an occasional treat, I enjoyed it and came back~ A friend asked me why the dumplings are called 'rag dumplings' (geolle-mandu). It's because they have a few strands of glass noodles inside and look all tattered and ragged - that's just what people casually called them back in the day, and the name has stuck around until now haha. Rice cake and fish cake, plus "cleaning rag" dumplings + added an egg! 6,600 won... lol (When I was little, 2,000 won was more than enough 😂) Now they even have a proper storefront and have gotten pretty famous, and I heard they've started doing delivery too. I'm grateful that a place where I can relive childhood memories still exists, so I enjoyed the meal, and of course didn't forget to pack some to take home for my son ^^
