❣️(Travel) Gwangju fried duck wings restaurant recommendation😋

Since my son's taste is quite traditional and he's not a picky eater at all, sometimes he asks to eat foods I wouldn't have expected. It seems that on this trip to Gwangju, oddly enough, we have to go to a duck-wing fritter place again lol;; I suggested duck soup, and tried to redirect it to a wrapped-rice place, but in the end it ended up being duck-wing fritters...😅 I looked it up and apparently you can only find this dish in the Jeollanam-do region, so I was kind of curious about it. So among a few places on the list, I picked the one that was well-reviewed and nearby — this place called Geumdan Pocha. The name is apparently taken from the owner's name. The owner was extremely kind, and They welcomed me so warmly that my memory of my first visit is a good one. The store looked just like any typical small restaurant you'd find in any neighborhood. As soon as I ordered, they fried the food fresh right away. The price was 15,000 won for 25 pieces of duck wings, and it was the same whether paying by cash or card. Since I stopped by after a late breakfast, I wasn't really hungry, so I ended up tasting some in the car and carrying the rest home. It was delicious since it was freshly fried, and the batter was slightly spicy and crispy — maybe because it's duck wings, the meat had a chewier texture than fried chicken wings. Fried duck wings are just perfect as a beer snack! If you're traveling to the Jeonnam area, I think it'd be nice to try this kind of distinctive dish once. ^^ This was actually my first time trying fried duck wings in my whole life, and it was such a fun experience haha
