๐ด Overseas roaming
When traveling abroad, rather than using a USIM/eSIM, I mostly do roaming since I need to receive calls coming from Korea... For those of you who use roaming, what roaming plan do you get and about how many gigabytes do you use? Early on in my travels, I didn't know how many gigabytes I'd need, so there were times I got the expensive plan. But when I checked my data usage after coming back from a trip, there was a lot left over. So now I usually go with 4 gigabytes. There's something I realized after going abroad twice within a month in December~ When I went abroad again just 2 weeks later, since there was still leftover data from my previous roaming plan, I just left without setting up roaming again this time. Since I mostly caught wifi at cafes or hotels and only turned on data while moving around, it seems like the data didn't get used up that much. So if you're going abroad again within a month, you don't need to re-roam. I was a bit worried about whether my remaining data would slow down or cut out, but I used it well without feeling anything like that at all. When you go abroad, check your usual data usage beforehand, figure out roughly how much you use, and when you get a SIM, eSIM, or roaming plan, apply for a data amount that matches your usual usage~ Especially with roaming, you pay a lot for it, so it's such a waste if you end up with a ton of leftover data~^^
